The Three Musketeers!

Right now we have three beautiful and wonderful ladies at Sefton - my mum, her sister Helen and her friend Heather. They only decided to come a few weeks ago and they arrived last week. They are having a great time and every time they come in they are talking about their experiences and what's been going in that day. So I asked them to do a wee blog to let you, the listening world, know their thoughts.

Ladies and gentleman, a big round of applause for three ladies who have well and truly been out of their comfort zones more than a few times in the last 7 days ...

Here’s Mum …
On Sunday we attended Cornerstone United – all the Cornerstone churches worshipping together. So many people were there … some I knew but most I didn’t. The presence of the Lord was so real and it was a privilege to be there. It was great to see Lydia and Josiah dancing for the Lord!

After the service there was a baptismal time. I was so shocked when Mark asked Aunty Helen and myself to help him and the Pastors to baptize the people. I had never even thought about doing this ever before. At first I said ‘no way’ … but then I thought ‘why not?” and Helen and I assisted them! I found it such a moving experience to baptize people and pray for them as they came out of the water and started a new chapter of their walk with God.

It is SOOOOOOOO great to see my lovely grandkids again and spend time with them. I miss them so much and it is great to get some granny time with them. I am trying to ‘make memories’ …

Aunty Helen …
We are having a wonderful time here at Sefton. I was here in 2001 and 2005 and I am amazed at the developments and achievements since my last visit.

I have been to two feeding programmes –amazing. Yesterday it was one of the Teacher’s birthdays and we were treated like queens! They gave us a beautiful merianda (snack). We went sightseeing to Magat Dam (for the first time) and afterwards and had a picnic by the river .. a feast by Henry!

We Scottish ladies did a soup making demonstration with the parents of the kids at the school – mince soup! I also did a little talk using candles so a great time was had by all. As we ate the soup the only think missing was Scottish Oatcakes!

Here’s Heather (not with the weather!)
I have been having a fantastic time here at Sefton Village. Mark and Mary are a generous and caring couple and their kids are so lovely.

I had the opportunity to teach with Mary in the school and it was wonderful. The kids are so disciplined and listen to every word. They are beautiful in their immaculate uniforms – they even have a special uniform for PE days!

I had the privilege of praying with the patients and relatives at the local Government hospital. It was such a special experience. I cannot wait to come back to Sefton Village again one day!

Thanks ladies ... today they are away with my wife Mary to speak at a Women's Day at a nearby church. They are such a blessing to us and I am just praying that in their second week they take it a bit easier so we can see them more! Pray for them ... thanks!
