Food-for-Thought Ministry(Feeding Program)

The last week of January and the month of February were busy as usual for our feeding kids in schools.as we are about to embark a wider scope to reach out to other towns.

The current drought in our area has already affected significant number of rice and corn farms that could lead to food shortages in the coming months. At present, there are 14 million hungry filipinos, some kids go to schools with empty stomachs, waiting for food... to be given.

Let's hope and pray conditions doesn't get worse, That God's provision will arrive in time of our needs!

CORNERSTONE CALAOCAN - SANTIAGO ASSEMBLY OF GOD

On the first month of this year 2010, we, the members of the Cornerstone Calaocan

sat together and planned for the short term goals toward the improvement of our church. But before the planning proper for the church, we first set up short term goals for ourselves. We also assessed our roles and personal responsibilities and obligations for the church and our relationship with God.

It was on this same month also, on January 28,2010, when some members of the church were chosen to attend or participate in the Cornerstone Recognized Equipped Workers (CREW) orientation seminar at Sefton Village. The members who were chosen to undergo the year round CREW trainings are Sis. Cristy, Sis. Eva, Sis. Sheena, Sis Alvi and of our very supportive and ever active Pastor, Pastor Ariel Molina. Our shout is Go! Go! Go! Cornerstone Calaocan! We are very sure you can make it up to graduation! God Bless you all.

The month of February as a love month was chosen by the church members to start the dawn watch from 2:00 am to 5:00 am every Friday of the week. Everyone indeed are very excited to attend this activity. The overnight prayer meeting every 3rd Friday of the month is also on going. We are all inviting brothers and sisters in Christ to join us in prayer and experience the overwhelming joy, happiness, peace and unending blessings of the Lord!

Last February 14,2010, our CREW members who belonged to Team I have their first visitation and observation to their assigned church at Cornerstone Church San Isidro under Pastor Adonis Manango. According to them, they really enjoyed being with the members of this church. The church leaders and members were so accommodating and very enthusiastic. Kudos to all of them especially to Pastor Adonis Manango.

Starting this month also, we plan to conduct our home visitations to all our members. We shall have an eating fellowship also in all the members' homes which shall start at Sis. Edna's Residence. This was agreed upon by everybody to keep the harmonious relationship of all members of the church and to make them more closer and united. Another way of keeping them together as one and at the same time enlarging our territory is through cell grouping. This was planned to started this month also. We are all looking forward for the success of our plans for our church for the Glory of our God!!! Please continue to pray for us.

This month also, eight (8) anointed pastors from the different Cornerstone Churches visited our church and encouraged all the leaders and members. They were Pastor Winston Bao-in, Pastor Mark Ritchie, Pastor Matthew Kerr, Pastor Benjamin Domingo, Pastor Adonis Manango, Pastor Nestor Domingo, Pastor Romel Tejada and Pastor John Thomas "Joboy" Mangadap. Aside from the powerful Words of God that they have shared, they shall always be remembered because of their witty and happy thoughts, inspiring teachings and warm friendship. Of course we cannot forget the joyous voice of Pastor Adonis and the inspiring smiles, thoughts and testimonies of the youngest promising Pastor of Cornerstone - Pastor John Thomas "Joboy" Mangadap. We're so blessed!

The last Saturday of this month as declared as a working Saturday. The members of our church headed by the music ministry and the children ministry joined forces to beautify the facade of our church. They planted flowering and ornamental plants and did the landscaping to make the facade of our church look beautiful. It was really very tiring but enjoyable afternoon for everyone of us. It is really fulfilling to work for the Glory of God!

Kneelogy

I love Fridays. Why is it that I love Fridays? It is because Friday night is when some of leaders come together to pray and seek God’s face.

I would like to share to you some of our experience last Friday (February 19, 2010). About one o’ clock in the morning while worshiping the Lord, I saw a vision. I saw many gold coins, and I said, “Lord I want You” after that response the gold disappeared and about a second I saw a Jar, in that jar I saw a white like Quaker oat (represents food) and I said to the Lord, “Lord all I want is you” and it disappeared. And after that I saw many clothes and I said to the Lord, “Lord You’re my everything.” You know I sensed the holy presence of the Lord. When I shared it to our group, they begun to share what they saw and heard, we realized that God has given us the same word.

My friend, I want to tell you all you need is Jesus. He said in His word, “For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day [is] its own trouble.” (Mt 6:32-34 NKJV)

“Whom have I in heaven [but You]? And [there is] none upon earth [that] I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; [But] God [is] the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Ps 73:25-26 NKJV)

The Lord is your PORTION! Selah

Powerhouse at School P@S

The P@S Team are blessed and encourage of what God is doing into the lives of the children in Rizal Elementary School. We are motivated greatly with the response of the children on challenges of every lesson and with their involvement on activities. We sensed the continuing change of atmosphere with our regular Friday teaching from fear to trust and eagerness to learn more about Jesus. We felt the hardship of the Ministry but it cannot exceed the joy and delight when the children respond to give their lives and follow Jesus.
Taken after classes our short reporting and evaluation while having snack.

We conducted impromptu large gathering program on 5 combined classes of Grade 5 at their Conference Hall. This happened when the school hosted athletic training and athletes stayed on classrooms.

Last February 5, 2010 we conduct our ‘BIG DAY’ gathering. Classes from Grade 4 to 6 were combined and gather at School’s Coliseum. Rev. Nestor Domingo our Speaker with the topic “Knowing God”

Dakilang Pagmamahal: A Celebration of God's Love

Around the globe, February is usually the “love month” because of the celebration of valentine’s day. The CFFC-San Isidro leaders thought of celebrating God’s love instead of valentine. The activity was conceptualized before 2009 ended.

It would be a night of praise and worship, songs, dances, comedy skits, drama, presentation of the different ministries - children, youth, men and women which will showcase various talents. Its aim is to proclaim the greatest love of our God to all and let them know God’s plan for their lives.

A week after the reorganization of officers for 2010, meetings and preparations were done. So much time and effort have been devoted to the different presentation’s practice. These were done every Saturday afternoon until evening before the weekly prayer meetings. As a part of the preparations, leaders and participants always come together in prayer for the success of the activity. Some of our member-performers were attacked by the enemy in order to discouraged them. i.e. got sick during the time of practice, loved ones were rushed to the hospital for unknown reasons, among others. I for one, experienced it, my son got sick for a week and wasn't able to go to school. But these experiences helped us to go on... knowing that God is always with us and He has won the victory. Amen!

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Last February 19, 2009, the celebration dubbed as “Dakilang Pagmamahal: A Celebration of God’s love” was realized. At the start of the program, all of us were excited and this goes on as the events unfolded.

the members all set before the start of the program

CFFC-St. James children in their interpretation of "The Prayer"
Ptr. Freddie Jose led the Opening Prayer
Praise and Worship
Bro. Jack Punzalan & Sis. Terry Tenoso welcomes everyone
The Children's ministry in their presentation
CFFC-St. James dancing the "Philippine Geography"

"The Power of Love" as interpreted by the Women's Ministry

The Men sings the "Great Awakening" - a declaration of our faith

Comedy Skits
Songs and dances by the Youth Ministry

the Drama: "When the Father Ran" inspired by
the Prodigal Son

We have seen how great the love of our God is. The message was so powerful and touching as Pastor Danilo A. Mangadap, the Co-Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines (CGCP), delivered it focused on I Corinthians 13 and I John 4.

Ptr. Danny Mangadap inspires everyone through his
powerful and very encouraging message

He started his message by reminding us our church vision and goals. We are so blessed knowing that God used him with his lovely loving wife, Sis. Jane Melanie Mangadap in encouraging us to go on our faith and as a response, to do anything in love for God’s glory. Ptr. Danny prayed for us after his message and we really felt the touch of the Lord.

Prayer time

The event inspired all of us including the new attendees to strive more in working together as one family, united in love and always giving our best to glorify God’s holy name. Indeed the celebration was really a memorable one and forever we will cherish...

To all of you who prayed for us and helped us in anyway you can inorder to make this humble undertaking a success, we really thank the Lord for you have been a blessing to all of us. It is our prayer that God will bless you MORE THAN ANYTHING YOU CAN ASK OR IMAGINE - PRESSED DOWN, SHAKEN TOGETHER AND RUNNING-OVER BLESSINGS! THANK YOU VERY MUCH from the deepest chambers of our hearts. TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY, HONOR AND PRAISES!

Lastly, let me leave you with this wonderful song titled “You Are” by Clint Brown © 1999 Tribe Music/BMI (sung by Ron Kenoly and Darlene Zschech) that touched us as we feel the mighty holy presence of our God during the praise and worship.

News Updates from Cornerstone San Isidro (2)

Bringing the Good News!

the Gomez group on their way to the BS venue

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Romans 10:14

One of the goals of the CFFC-San Isidro is to teach God’s word through cell groups, bibles studies and Sunday school as mandated in our ultimate goal – “Giving or B.E.S.T to God all the time. The letter B in B.E.S.T – is Blessing the Lord at all times; E – stands for Experiencing God’s power; S – Sharing God’s love and T - Teaching God’s word.

Every week there are at least three bible study/cell groups being undertaken. The Monday group meets at Gomez, San Isidro, Isabela being handled by Ptr. Alexander F. Ritua with the support of other leaders – Ptr. Rey, Ptr. Freddie, Bro. Jack, Sis. Fermina, Sis. Sabel, Sis. Juvy and Sis. Reggie with some youth leaders – Ptr. Andy, Bro. Christian, Sis. Maricel and Sis. Jackie.

The activity starts at 7PM and ends before 9PM and held in different houses as venues. Topics on Christian growth and deep fellowship with God is emphasized during these activities. Praying time is a sought-after part of the activity where all attendees pray for each other. Special prayer and laying-on of hands is offered to those who are sick.

The Tuesday group is holding its BS at Paulina, San Isidro, Isabela led by Ptr. Reynaldo Sermonia while the Thursday group holds its BS at St. James Subdivision, Batal, Santiago City.

We all love to bring the good news knowing that the Lord Jesus once said…"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19,20.

Let’s pray for more harvest of souls!!!

The Men and Women of Cornerstone San Isidro

CCFC – WM Celebrates 2nd Anniversary
By Mitrel M. Ritua

the lovely women of Cornerstone San Isidro

Last February 12, 2010, the women of CCFC – San Isidro joyfully celebrated the second anniversary of the Women’s Ministry.

Sis. Mary Ritchie delivering God's word
with Sis. Mitrel as interpreter

The event was graced by Sis. Mary Ritchie, who was the speaker that day. With her were visitors form UK, namely Sis. Mary Ritchie (mother of Pastor Mark Ritchie), Sis. Helen Wiseman (aunt of Pastor Mark) and Sis. Heather Ritchie.

Sis. Mary’s message was centered on the verse found in Luke 1:38, “and Mary said… be it unto me according to thy word.” She encouraged the women present to follow God and His word instead of doing things in our own way. The other visitors shared also encouraging words and their testimonies which strengthened even more the faith of the women.

The celebration ended with a delicious lunch prepared by the members of WM. Wow! What a wonderful day! We were all blessed and encouraged! Glory to God!

Men’s Ministry always on the go!

by Alex

the happy guys

we all love to eat...so delicious...so filipino!

the men of Cornerstone San Isidro

The Men’s Ministry (MM) of CFFC-San Isidro conducted two fellowships in the evenings of 21 January and 19 February, 2010. Right after the reorganization which took place in January 10, 2010, the MM planned to conduct evening fellowships at least once a month. The aim of this gathering is to strengthen the faith and amity among all the men in the ministry. In the Philippines, men are the most important pillars of every household. By these, men in the church should spearhead the conduct of all activities that will help build a strong foundation of every relationship in the church. This summed up the Hebrew word “Hinei ma tov” in Psalm 133:1 which states that –

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”

Every fellowship is different. Men love to worship God more than women! (huh?). We also have some sharing at "what a blessing" time! (Giving testimonies about the goodness of our God). Pastor Adonis, our head pastor encouraged us as he shared God’s word to all of us. After hearing the word, business meetings were undertaken and tackled issues on how to help provide the church needs. As a result, monthly pledges were started.

The evening fellowships usually end with eating. All the members were revitalized, always ready for God's work! To God be the glory.
