In January of 2009, there was a call to visit people in Echague near the University. Since then, we made contact with people in the area and started a bible study inside a boarding house of one of the university students. After a couple of months of bible studies, another boarding house opened up for a bible study, so, we have two bible studies every Tuesday and Wednesday night. There are about 15 people who are gathered every Tuesday and an average of 20 people on Wednesday night meeting.
After much prayers, we ask the people if they want to start a Sunday service and they all agreed. They are happy and excited to have a church so near for them to go. Amazingly, the Lord provided a place for us to use as a venue for the service and it is a blessing that we do not have to pay for any rental fee. Finally, Cornerstone Chuch Echague was launched on Nov. 8, 2009.
The Lord is doing a great work in Echague.... So amazing!
Please pray for us and the work in Echague. It has 67 barangays and we are near a university with about 6000 students. It is an old town and people living there are very religious but no personal relationship with our Lord.
