CORNERSTONE CHURCH NAGGASICAN: CHASED BY GOD'S MERCY AND GRACE

Naggasican, once a place of shame, turned into a place of God’s honor and glory, is now being chased by God’s mercy and grace.
The Lord is so great and good that He has done and has been doing great and amazing things to the brethren of Cornerstone Church Naggasican.

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

For the past years, ROPE charities has been extending educational assistance to 10 indigent high school students and 20 elementary pupils of Naggasican. This year, the more that the Lord has blessed the young people and children of Naggasican when ROPE Charities approved the Educational Assistance to twenty (20) High school students and thirty (30) elementary pupils. School uniforms, supplies and a whole school year traveling/food allowances has been given to these indigent but deserving young people and children of Naggasican.

DAILY FEEDING PROGRAM FOR 50 MALNOURISHED PUPILS OF NAGGASICAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The daily feeding program for three (3) consecutive months to fifty malnourished pupils of Naggasican Elementary School is on-going and we are blessed to have church volunteers who are being used by the Lord in the implementation of the program. We are currently on the sixth (6) batch of 50 malnourished children who are being supplementally fed daily from Monday to Friday. This program is being funded by ROPE Charities.

ONCE A MONTH FEEDING PROGRAM AT NAGGASICAN DAY CARE CENTER

The daily feeding program has a great impact in the whole barangay of Naggasican that even the Day Care Center of the village had requested for a feeding program, even once or twice a month only, to 90 day care pupils (45 in the morning session and 45 in the afternoon session). Since we do not have any funding or source to this program, each family have decided to have a voluntary monthly share in whatever amount that they can just so that we can grant the request. The feeding program for the day care center pupils was launched last October this year and since then, the Lord has been pouring out blessings to the brethren of Naggasican for their generosity. Blessings that they can never imagine.

ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM
Cornerstone Church Naggasican is so blessed and victorious being a service provider for the Alternative Learning System to six (6) Out-of-school youth and adult learners who have not finished high school education. After months of review and free study at the Cornerstone Church Naggasican, with Sis. Grace Viray as volunteer teacher, the six OSY and adult learners finally had their examination last October 19, 2009. One of the adult learners is our very own Pst. Teresa Liday who was even chosen among the 400 examinees to be interviewed and aired over the television. Please continue to pray with us that all these six examinees will passed the exam which result shall come out by March 2010 so that they can be issued with a High School Diploma by the DepEd and be able to avail scholarships and pursue their studies in college.

TAKING CARE OF TITO EVASCO

Tito Evasco, from Northern Samar, Visayas, who went to Santiago City to find a job and hoping to have a better life, met an accident and suffered a fractured bone on his left thigh. He was hospitalized and operated at the Southern Isabela General Hospital. With no relatives at all, he cannot get out of the hospital due to his hospital bill amounting to 53,000 Php. God touched the heart of Pst. Danny to helped this man. With the help of all the brethren, prayers have been offered to Tito that the lord will do a miracle in his life. With God’s divine intervention, he was discharged at the hospital by paying only 3,000 Php which was given by concerned people. Tito is now temporarily staying at the church while recuperating from his operation. All the church brethren are helping one another, alternately by families, in feeding this stranger . Tito has accepted our lord Jesus Christ and is doing everything to be a blessing also to the church.

OUT FROM BJMP, BOK IS BACK IN CHURCH

Bok, who just recently got out of jail or BJMP is also being temporarily housed at Cornerstone Church Naggasican while still looking for a job and a place to stay. We have forgiven and accepted Bok and He had also reconciled himself to the Lord.

DAILY DAWN WATCH AND EIGHT PRAYER WATCHES

The daily dawn watch and eight prayer watches of the Naggasican brethren has been ongoing for many weeks now. As early as 3:00 in the morning (for the dawn watch) and 9:00 pm (for the eight prayer watches), the brethren gather at the church just to pray to our lord Jesus Christ. We are so glad that even Tito and Bok are now so fervent and passionate in praying to our Lord Jesus. Since the daily dawn watch has started, the brethren are testifying how God amazingly provided all their needs and answered their prayers.
At present, we are constructing two (2) prayer rooms at Cornerstone Church Naggasican because we desire to raised up watchmen, intercessors and prayer warriors for the whole Cornerstone Church.

THE LORD BLESSED THE BRETHREN OF NAGGASICAN

With the assistance given by ROPE Charities, Cornerstone Church Naggasican were once again amazingly blessed by the Lord. Galvanized irons and woods were given to identified indigent families of Naggasican and members of CCN for the repair of their house roofing. This is a help extended by ROPE Charities for these families to have a better shelter and to prepare their houses against storms and cyclones that often hit our country. With this unexpected assistance, the people of Naggasican and church's brethren once again have proven God’s mercy and love to them. Also blessed were the Badjao Muslims living under the bridge will shall be provided with tents which they can temporarily used as shelters and makeshifts and protect them from heavy rains and storms.
