Youth camp!

The Fire Center was the venue of the Youth Camp from Dec. 28 to 30. There were 225 youth who turned up to attend and it was really great. Ptr. James Aquino preached really well and all the campers responded.

I am so happy to see those who attended the Youth Camps from 2005 till now. The Lord keep them. Although many were gone, still, many have remained. Praise the Lord!

NINE NIGHTS OF SERVICES AT CCN AND GIFT GIVING OF SANTA CLAUS TO INDIGENT CHILDREN...A SUCCESS!

Cornerstone Church Naggasican is on its second year of holding a nine-nights of WORSHIP SERVICES or SIMBANG GABI and the Lord is so victorious in this activity.

We were so amazed of what the Lord has done in this nine-nights of services. There were new faces or attendees every night and more souls were being saved . The topic about the gift of the Holy Spirit with different speakers had truly encouraged the people of Naggasican. Every night service also, two (2) most behaved children, a boy and a girl ,were given fifty (50) pesos each as a love gift courtesy of Rev. Mark Ritchie.

December 16 - LOVE - Rev. Mark Riktchie
December 17 - JOY - Rev. Winston Bao-in

During the last night of praise and worship service, Santa Claus (played by Peter Strachan) came at Cornerstone Church Naggasican to give gifts to the poor children. Children numbering to more than 100 were given with gifts through the generosity of the Strachan family. Gifts were also given to all the leaders, deacons and active members of Cornerstone Church Naggasican by Ptr. Danny, Sis. Jane and kids.

This is also the second year of Cornerstone Church Naggasican to give gifts to all the indigent children of Naggasican and many were happy on Christmas eve. All thanksgiving and glory to God!

Generations

Today, we'll gonna report to you about what is happening in the Youth Department. God has been raising up leaders into a higher a level, one of our two youths, Cristeta Manio, from Bible school is now pastoring a church at Ilagan, our newly birthed church. praise the Lord! :D We believe that God will raise up pastors, missionaries, teachers, evangelists, etc... amongst every youth for His Kingdom. And for the past months, God has been touching many lives through the Youth Department, not just the youths but also the adults.

Last wednesday, December 23, 09, we've just had our Youth Christmas Party. We had so much fun, our bonding with the other youths have progressed. I remember our guests (an adult) saying that she's not really a sociable person but here it's different, and the other said that how you welcome us is so warm. God is really doing great among the youth department. To God be all the Glory.

On December 28 - 30, 2009 there will be a sectional youth camp in our section and many of our youths are willing to attend. Please pray that God will touch every heart and soul that will participate in this event. Personally, God has touched me strongly in youth camps and my life has never been the same. We're praying that most of our youths will experience God and that this will be a turning point in their lives.

Have a blessed day. :D Godbless, :D

HUNGER AND THIRST FOR PRAYER

Street Pastors praying for the police officers.

Since we started the Cornerstone Street Pastors Ministry last January 2009 this year, we had the great opportunity to share the Word of God and pray for people from all walks of life outside the 4 corners of the church. We go out as led by the Spirit by two's or three's every monday from 2:00pm-4:00pm with the following target areas: Government agencies, hospitals, schools, squatter areas, public markets, homes, etc.

Recently, Ptr. James Bastian and I had the chance to go to the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), a government office located at the AMA Colliseum, new public market. As we introduce the ministry, the lady Provincial NCIP Officer-In-Charge got so excited that right away she led us to a place where we could pray for her and the office personnel.

Likewise, during our recent conduct of street pastors with Peter Strachan from UK , who is on a short mission trip with his family, God used
him to pray for SPO2 Roland Mesa, Team Leader of the Traffic Management Group in Santiago City. After praying, the guy served us cool softdrinks with biscuits.

So far the ground has been softened within the government sector and other areas of society. We believe that as we continue to pray, chains of bondage will be broken, lives will be changed, and society will be transformed by the awesome power of God.

Street Pastors praying for the politicians.

Please continue to pray for us.

FEEDING PROGRAM

The Feeding PROGRAM is now on its 5th year come 2010. We have a lot of scheduled feeding activities in public schools and at the barangay level. It seems a formidable task to reach out to 200,000 kids. but, God will surely make away. . .

A humble beginning in November 27,2005 paved the way to more public schools as its center of activity by feeding the kids in these schools. Scheduled feeding during Street Pastors started in December 2008 and continuing activities for the stall owners at the public market, to include drivers, sales ladies, vendors, street childrens, etc.

Today, we simply move and do the work for God's kingdom, to reach out for more. . to serve more for God's glory.

feeding in Echague

We have a feeding at Echague East Central School with about 480 elementary pupils and 60 preschool kids. Even the teachers numbering to 17 were also being fed. The children and teachers were so happy with the activity being conducted by Cornerstone Church Echague.
It was indeed a great privilege and opportunity for us to be a blessing to the school children and the whole community as well.

Cornerstone Echague

In January of 2009, there was a call to visit people in Echague near the University. Since then, we made contact with people in the area and started a bible study inside a boarding house of one of the university students. After a couple of months of bible studies, another boarding house opened up for a bible study, so, we have two bible studies every Tuesday and Wednesday night. There are about 15 people who are gathered every Tuesday and an average of 20 people on Wednesday night meeting.

After much prayers, we ask the people if they want to start a Sunday service and they all agreed. They are happy and excited to have a church so near for them to go. Amazingly, the Lord provided a place for us to use as a venue for the service and it is a blessing that we do not have to pay for any rental fee. Finally, Cornerstone Chuch Echague was launched on Nov. 8, 2009.
The Lord is doing a great work in Echague.... So amazing!

Please pray for us and the work in Echague. It has 67 barangays and we are near a university with about 6000 students. It is an old town and people living there are very religious but no personal relationship with our Lord.

Reaching the “Promised Land”: The Cornerstone San Isidro Experience

Hello brothers and sisters around the globe! We would like to share the series of events that the Lord is doing here at Cornerstone Church of San Isidro, Isabela right our very eyes. Here is a brief history of God’s faithfulness to us…

  • March 2006 – Ptr. Jose Adonis V. Manango and wife Mariebel joined the Cornerstone Santiago Team in attending the 4th Zion Asia-Pacific Conference held at Singapore
  • April 2006 – Ptr. Adonis with the whole congregation was officially affiliated to the Cornerstone Church.

May 2006 – Cornerstone Pastors began supporting us as an “adopted church”. They were invited to preach and give orientation on the vision, mission and programs of Cornerstone Church such as the feeding program and powerhouse kids

  • August 2006 – An old commercial center was rented and served as the Cornerstone Church San Isidro Office. The office also became a center where we hold youth fellowships, meetings and cell groups

  • December 28, 2006 – the first CCSI Christmas celebration was held at the office. Triple treat: Christmas program, Ptr. Adonis and Sis. Mariebel’s wedding anniversary and Ptr. Alexander Ritua’s birthday! Ptr. Winston Bao-in graced the occasion and prayed for the celebrants and the congregation

  • February 2007 – “Bileg ‘ti Ayat Mo” was conducted. This was a love month celebration where praise and worship, special numbers like comedy skits, songs and dramas were showcased. The evangelistic activity highlighted with Ptr. Mark Ritchie’s powerful message on God’s love.

“In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.” (Exodus 15:13)

  • June 2007 – the modest church building was dismantled because the lot owner accused us of not supporting his son to win in the 2007 elections. In the last week of this month, the CCSI congregation vanished and left the place.
  • July 2007 – “The Exodus” began. The CCSI joined the Cornerstone Santiago Main in their morning Sunday services at VMG Building.
  • July 29, 2007 – CCSI began holding its Sunday services from 2-5pm at Ala Moana Building, Villasis, Santiago City
  • November 18, 2007 – the Church leadership headed by Pastors Adonis, Rey, Alex and Freddie with Bro. Jack, a church elder, lead the congregation in going back to San Isidro, Isabela. The congregation found a place of worship at the Gomez Community Center, Gomez, San Isidro, Isabela
  • February 10, 2008 – CCSI again transferred to the San Isidro East Central School (SIECS) Amphitheatre, Gomez, San Isidro because of some complaints of other sects who were not able to be accommodated in the Community Centre.
  • March – December 2008 – CCSI continued holding its Sunday Services at SIECS Amphitheatre. We were visited by Cornerstone Pastors and foreign ministers who inspired us with their walks with the Lord. Before the year ended, CCSI was able to acquire a 300 square meter lot with a land title.

  • December 21, 2008 – 2nd CCSI Christmas Service. Ptr. Mark Ritchie and Ptr. Matthew Kerr made a surprise visit. Ptr. Mark encouraged the congregation to be patient while CCSI is experiencing the Exodus stage. There is an assurance that CCSI will reach the promise land, i.e. to own a church building in 2009!

  • January 2009 – Daily dawn watch lead by Ptr. Adonis with Bro. Rony Buena-Agua, Bro. Julius and Ptr. Merwyn Estabillo were conducted with a vision to put up a fellowship centre as an answer to the call of Ptr. Adonis’ neighbours at St. James, Batal, Santiago City. They wanted to join the Sunday service at San Isidro but the distance is their problem. Prayer meetings were also held at San Isidro.

  • February 11, 2009 – Leaders’ weekly cell group with topics on the Holy Spirit was started with Ptr. Keith Pointon as the teacher.

  • February 15, 2009 – the birth of the Cornerstone Family Fellowship Centre at St. James Subdivision, Batal, Santiago City.

  • March 29, 2009 – CCSI launched the “Operation King Solomon 2009”, where the members promised to sow their seeds for the church building project. Willing and generous members were given envelopes with a pledge form and prayer in it. They were able to return the envelope with their financial pledges.

  • April – August 2009 the daily dawn watch and prayer meetings continued. Expansion of the church to other places became a priority. CCSI were visited by foreign brothers and sisters. Guitar Aid gave a beautiful and state-of-the-art guitar. What a blessing!

  • June 1, 2009 – Ptr. Adonis and Ptr. Merwyn made an ocular visit to Sta. Monica, Echague where they say a vacant house for sale/rent. Immediately, through the conviction of the Holy Spirit , a ministry will be established in the place. They signified their intention to rent the house without any contract yet but by faith.

  • July 17, 2009 – after six weeks of preparation, a Friday service was started on the newly established Cornestone Family Fellowship Center at Sta. Monica, Echague, Isabela.

The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you and I will

give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14)

  • August 2009 – the CCSI congregation received news that they are now going to transfer in the new church building. All went to the place and prepared it for the first Sunday Service. All of us felt the excitement as we experienced the loving-kindness of our Lord.
  • September 20, 2009 – A Day of Thanksgiving! A week after the Cornerstone 5th Anniversary, CCSI began holding its Sunday Services at the newly acquired building.
  • September 27, 2009 – launching and Dedication of the San Isidro Cornerstone Family Fellowship Center at Gomez, San Isidro, Isabela with Ptr. Mark Ritchie as the speaker. He encouraged the congregation with his message focused on the Israelites’ Exodus and how they were able to reach their promised land. He realized that he mentioned that CCSI will reach its promised land in 2009!

NEED WE ASK FOR MORE? YES! In spite of the trials, challenges, ups and downs and obstacles we encountered along the way, we have known that triumphs and victories were already in store for us. We would like to see that in the coming days, people will come to the center and experience the greatest miracle of all – SALVATION. We would like to see how God will do greater things unfolding right before our eyes in ways we cannot fathom and imagine. Finally, we would like to see changed lives that are willing to create impacts in our desperate people and places.

AN UPDATE

Last November 29, 2009, CCSI was so blessed for having been visited by our foreign brothers and sister – Roberto, Benjamino and Fay from Italy. Bro. Roberto rendered two inspirational Italian songs about loving God. Sis. Fay gave words of encouragement centered on Godly living and service to the Lord.

On that same day, the owner of the lot and building, Atty. Jose Ramos, a retired RTC Judge is our speaker. He spoke about giving/tithing, stewardship and obedience inspired by Malachi 3:6-12. He challenged the congregation to be obedient and faithful in giving our tithes and in sharing our time, talent and treasures for the furtherance of God’s kingdom on earth. We were blessed as he shared his experiences in giving his tithes (based on gross income) and how he was blessed by the Lord. Now, he is giving as much as 30%! He also made a pronouncement that as he reached his age of 75 years, he is going to facilitate the Deed of Donation papers (for the lot and building) for the Cornerstone Church of San Isidro, Isabela. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! HALLELUJAH!

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who
promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23)

CORNERSTONE CHURCH RAMON NEWS

God can use ordinary people for His own glory!

For the month of November this year, there were two (2) testimonies of our members that inspired and encouraged me.

First, the testimony of Charlie Pagadian. Despite his struggles with his financial needs in the Bible School, struggles in his academic and health situation, and persecutions of his relatives on his decision to study in the Bible School, he still have the boldness and enthusiasm to conduct Bible studies in different houses every night. He has a cell group and every Saturday, he visits friends and shares the things that he had experienced when he became a born-again christian. According to him, some of them listen to him but most thinks that there is something wrong with him. Charlie loves to share about our Lord Jesus who changed his life.

Second is the testimony of Luiza Pagadian, the mother of Charlie. Despite of what happened to her, she still loves to serve God and excited to invite people in the church since she became a christian. She always go to the church early every Sunday to clean the hall, the comfort rooms and the surroundings. She is proud and not ashame to show to the people that God changed her life. She is so proud in always telling her friends that she is a member of Cornerstone Church. Luiza experienced difficulties in life before she became a born-again christian. She was put to jail for two (2) times but by the grace and mercy of God, her life was changed.

Our prayer request: Find a Worship Center because the worship center that we have right now is already for sale by the owner.

CORNERSTONE CHURCH SINILI

We tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about His power and His ministry works…. Psalm 78:4

It is a great privilege given by God to be able to sow into a child’s life and to see the children dedicate their young lives to God.

April 2005 marked the start of teaching values education through Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) at Sinili, Santiago City. Sixty to seventy children were gathered to attend and participate in this event. Barangay Sinili is one of the villages in Santiago where majority of the population are young people and children. The main occupation of their parents is farming, but most of them are tenants and do not have a farm of their own.

From this initial gathering of children, we eventually organized and established a club which we call the POWERHOUSE KIDS CLUB.

The POWERHOUSE KIDS CLUB or PHKC was launched last November 2005 and was also opened in some villages of the city. Once a month, we gather the children coming from the different barangays of the city, which include the Barangay or village of Sinili, at Sefton Village to be involved in the activity of the Powerhouse Kids Club and be able to gain knowledge and know the will of the Lord.

This club aims to give a powerful impact in our city, to make JESUS famous and let everyone know that He is a living God, a God who reach out, touch and change people’s lives.

Aside from the POWERHOUSE KIDS CLUB, we also have a once a month feeding program in the elementary school at Barangay Sinili. We also aim to focus on the physical well- being and social aspect of the lives of the children.

The ministry in Sinili is now on its fourth year and last 27th of September 2008, we finally and formally launched Cornerstone Church Sinili in this place. More or less 70 people attended the launching. Now, we have a regular Sunday service at 9:00 in the morning and youth meeting and prayer meeting every Saturday. We have an average members of 7 adults, 10 young people, and 15 children.

Cornerstone Church Echague, Pangal Norte, Echague, Isabela

  • Cornerstone Church Pangal has been a fruit of prayer and call of distress. Like the call in Acts 16:9 "Come over to Macedonia and help us." When Cornerstone Church Santiago was started, there are members attending who came from Pangal asking help to extend the ministry of Cornerstone in their place.

We surveyed the place, did follow-ups and bible studies and eventually started regular Sunday House Church service. From two families, the church grew in number and more families were saved and became committed members of the church. When the house is already too small for us, God provided a school for our regular Sunday service. From church tithes, offerings and pledges, we were able to buy a 300 sq. m lot for church. It took us three years in this pioneering stage.

November 23, 2008 was the date of official opening of Cornerstone Church Echague, Pangal Norte, Echague, Isabela. And last November 29, 2009, we celebrated our 1st Anniversary and Dedication of the new church building.

The funds used for the church building came from the church pledges, UK and Filipino friends, Cornerstone Churches, Assembly of God Churches and Pastors. The manual labour for building the church was mostly done voluntarily by the men from the church.
During the anniversary and dedication, Rev. Mark Ritchie spoke to us about the building of the temple by David and Solomon. This is also our prayer to our new Cornerstone Church Building:
1. A place of God’s Glory,
2. A place of Worship,
3. A place of Sacrifice,
4. A place of celebration,
5. A place of fulfilment of God’s promises, and
6. A place of answered prayers

As a pastor of this new congregation, God put in my heart this verse from the scripture:

"As for Me," says the LORD, "this [is] My covenant with them: My Spirit who [is] upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants," says the LORD, "from this time and forevermore." (Isa 59:21 NKJV)

Vision of Cornerstone Church Pangal
•Church that gives reverence to God and obedient to God’s Word
•A place to see the power of God’s grace, mercy, love and the Holy Spirit to lead a person to repentance, faith, transformation and life to the fullest
•A house of prayer that develops intimacy with Jesus and a lifestyle of worship.
•A glorious church that gives room for the Holy Spirit and be a place of His habitation.
•To disciple, train, equip, and mobilize members to evangelize that leads to church planting

CORNERSTONE CHURCH NAGGASICAN: CHASED BY GOD'S MERCY AND GRACE

Naggasican, once a place of shame, turned into a place of God’s honor and glory, is now being chased by God’s mercy and grace.
The Lord is so great and good that He has done and has been doing great and amazing things to the brethren of Cornerstone Church Naggasican.

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

For the past years, ROPE charities has been extending educational assistance to 10 indigent high school students and 20 elementary pupils of Naggasican. This year, the more that the Lord has blessed the young people and children of Naggasican when ROPE Charities approved the Educational Assistance to twenty (20) High school students and thirty (30) elementary pupils. School uniforms, supplies and a whole school year traveling/food allowances has been given to these indigent but deserving young people and children of Naggasican.

DAILY FEEDING PROGRAM FOR 50 MALNOURISHED PUPILS OF NAGGASICAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The daily feeding program for three (3) consecutive months to fifty malnourished pupils of Naggasican Elementary School is on-going and we are blessed to have church volunteers who are being used by the Lord in the implementation of the program. We are currently on the sixth (6) batch of 50 malnourished children who are being supplementally fed daily from Monday to Friday. This program is being funded by ROPE Charities.

ONCE A MONTH FEEDING PROGRAM AT NAGGASICAN DAY CARE CENTER

The daily feeding program has a great impact in the whole barangay of Naggasican that even the Day Care Center of the village had requested for a feeding program, even once or twice a month only, to 90 day care pupils (45 in the morning session and 45 in the afternoon session). Since we do not have any funding or source to this program, each family have decided to have a voluntary monthly share in whatever amount that they can just so that we can grant the request. The feeding program for the day care center pupils was launched last October this year and since then, the Lord has been pouring out blessings to the brethren of Naggasican for their generosity. Blessings that they can never imagine.

ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM
Cornerstone Church Naggasican is so blessed and victorious being a service provider for the Alternative Learning System to six (6) Out-of-school youth and adult learners who have not finished high school education. After months of review and free study at the Cornerstone Church Naggasican, with Sis. Grace Viray as volunteer teacher, the six OSY and adult learners finally had their examination last October 19, 2009. One of the adult learners is our very own Pst. Teresa Liday who was even chosen among the 400 examinees to be interviewed and aired over the television. Please continue to pray with us that all these six examinees will passed the exam which result shall come out by March 2010 so that they can be issued with a High School Diploma by the DepEd and be able to avail scholarships and pursue their studies in college.

TAKING CARE OF TITO EVASCO

Tito Evasco, from Northern Samar, Visayas, who went to Santiago City to find a job and hoping to have a better life, met an accident and suffered a fractured bone on his left thigh. He was hospitalized and operated at the Southern Isabela General Hospital. With no relatives at all, he cannot get out of the hospital due to his hospital bill amounting to 53,000 Php. God touched the heart of Pst. Danny to helped this man. With the help of all the brethren, prayers have been offered to Tito that the lord will do a miracle in his life. With God’s divine intervention, he was discharged at the hospital by paying only 3,000 Php which was given by concerned people. Tito is now temporarily staying at the church while recuperating from his operation. All the church brethren are helping one another, alternately by families, in feeding this stranger . Tito has accepted our lord Jesus Christ and is doing everything to be a blessing also to the church.

OUT FROM BJMP, BOK IS BACK IN CHURCH

Bok, who just recently got out of jail or BJMP is also being temporarily housed at Cornerstone Church Naggasican while still looking for a job and a place to stay. We have forgiven and accepted Bok and He had also reconciled himself to the Lord.

DAILY DAWN WATCH AND EIGHT PRAYER WATCHES

The daily dawn watch and eight prayer watches of the Naggasican brethren has been ongoing for many weeks now. As early as 3:00 in the morning (for the dawn watch) and 9:00 pm (for the eight prayer watches), the brethren gather at the church just to pray to our lord Jesus Christ. We are so glad that even Tito and Bok are now so fervent and passionate in praying to our Lord Jesus. Since the daily dawn watch has started, the brethren are testifying how God amazingly provided all their needs and answered their prayers.
At present, we are constructing two (2) prayer rooms at Cornerstone Church Naggasican because we desire to raised up watchmen, intercessors and prayer warriors for the whole Cornerstone Church.

NINE CONSECUTIVE CHRISTMAS NIGHT SERVICES OR SIMBANG GABI

Cornerstone Church Naggasican will have nine consecutive Christmas night services or Simbang Gabi which will start on December 16 up to December 24. All the Cornerstone Church Pastors will have a day to preach on the following topics - The fruit of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

THE LORD BLESSED THE BRETHREN OF NAGGASICAN

With the assistance given by ROPE Charities, Cornerstone Church Naggasican were once again amazingly blessed by the Lord. Galvanized irons and woods were given to identified indigent families of Naggasican and members of CCN for the repair of their house roofing. This is a help extended by ROPE Charities for these families to have a better shelter and to prepare their houses against storms and cyclones that often hit our country. With this unexpected assistance, the people of Naggasican and church's brethren once again have proven God’s mercy and love to them. Also blessed were the Badjao Muslims living under the bridge will shall be provided with tents which they can temporarily used as shelters and makeshifts and protect them from heavy rains and storms.
