Friends from Cornerstone Singapore and Dad came and prayed our church. So much blessed with the prophetic word to our church that it will be a 'place of restoration'. The photo taken under the bridge with a fruit full snacks.

Pastor Irene Mejia, our former intern came and visit our church and encouraged us with pastoral massage to stand firm in Faith.

Last summer we had vacation Bible school. Many kids were imparted with God's Word with our theme "Flying with Wisdom",

From our youth group we had 9 and 1 adult decided to be baptized in water. The Kingdom of God is expanding. Amen!

Our church building is done bit by bit. So blessed to see how God answer prayers.

CFFC-San Isidro Turns 5! 4th Harvest Festival Celebrated!

BREAKTHROUGH! Is the theme of the 5^th CFFC-San Isidro Anniversary Celebration and 4^th Harvest Festival which was inspired by ISAIAH 10:27 “It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil” last April 24, 2011, Easter Sunday at the CFFC-San Isidro Church Building.

The congregation were all excited waiting in front of the church and its premises for the first activity – the motorcade around the poblacion. Private and service vehicles lined-up in participation to the motorcade with a loud sound system playing victory songs. The five flags representing the Philippines, UK, Singapore, Scotland and Israel were waved by the flag bearers leading the entire motorcade.

After the very exciting motorcade, a dance for the Lord was rendered by the tambourine and ribbon dancers. After the dance, the dancers and the flag bearers led the congregation in entering the church building which signalled the start of the thanksgiving service. The stage was outstanding with matching fruits and vegetables representing the good harvest!

The opening prayer was led by Ptr. Freddie C. Jose and immediately followed by the praise and worship. The congregation was warmly welcomed by the couple – Ptr. Alexander Ritua and his wife Mitrel. Special numbers from the children, youth, men and women were presented in songs and dances.

Ptr. Jose Adonis Manango gave his anniversary message and encouraged the congregation to thank the Lord for a very fruitful and successful 5^th Anniversary Celebration and 4^th Harvest Festival. He declared breakthroughs will surely happen this year provided that all will become obedient and faithful to God.

The pastors and wives led by Ptr. Adonis and wife Mariebel sang the “Dakilang Katapatan” as the members offered their tithes and offerings to the Lord. The pastors lifted up the offering box and blessed the offerings that will be used for the expansion of God’s kingdom.

The bondage breaking, declaration of faith, prosperity and God’s anointing were proclaimed and received in faith was done. The dedication of the two children immediately followed.

In closing, the congregation sang the song “Walang Hanggang Pasasalamat”. All the members formed a big circle while holding each other prayed together in unity. Ptr. Rony Buena-Agua led the closing prayer and prayer for the food. Ptr. Reynaldo Sermonia and Sis. Elena A. De Mayo hosted the celebration.

To all of you, who shared your most precious times, talents and treasures for the success of our anniversary celebration and harvest festival, we are so thankful.

The celebration was indeed a day of praise, worship and breakthrough - an expression of our endless thanksgiving to God’s love and faithfulness. To God be the glory, honor and praise ad infinitum!

HOLY WEEK ACTIVITIES: House-to-house Evangelism and Jesus Film Showing

The CFFC leaders and members went on missions! ‘Twas really a very fulfilling and unforgettable holy week for all of us as we conduct our house-to-house evangelism and Jesus Film Showing last April 21 and 22, 2011 (Holy Thursday and Good Friday) at barangays Doña Paulina and Cebu here in our town San Isidro, Isabela.

Drawn by the passion to serve the Lord, the leaders in one accord, made all the preparations –transporting of the musical equipments and chairs from the church to the barangays. The team prayed before the house-to-house evangelisms that were started around 3pm in the two barangays. The leaders and members were grouped into three groups represented by the men, women and youth groups. The groups were able to share the love of God and His offer of salvation. 25 people were reached-out and prayed to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. What a great opportunity bringing and ushering people to God!

The film showings were done in the evenings of April 21 and 22. The first film showing was done at the Community Center of Doña Paulina, San Isidro, Isabela. Barangay Captain Velasco, who gave his welcome remarks, with his wife and members of his council were able to watched “The Public Life of Jesus” dubbed in the Filipino (Tagalog) language from start to finish! Many were blessed watching the film entirely taken form the Gospel of Luke. Ptr. James Bastian gave the message.

During the second evening, the pavement beside the concrete road in Purok 4, Cebu, San Isidro, Isabela were flocked by the barangay people who were able to come as early as 6:30pm. They were able to participate in singing, clapping and dancing led by the praise and worship team. After a short introduction on the film by Ptr. Alexander Ritua, the film showing started.

For almost two hours, the people were really focused and attentively watched the film. Ptr. Jose Adonis Manango blessed the people and led them to Christ in a prayer of acceptance. In closing, he prayed for all of them that God will bless them and they will continue to know the Lord more as they have started a personal relationship with Him.

The team gathered together, praised and thanked God after the two-day activities knowing that our labours in the Lord are not in vain (I Corinthians 15:58). The host families served refreshments afterwards.

Ablaze for God Leadership Training-Workshop Conducted

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the ends of the earth.” - ACTS 1:8

Acts 1:8, the theme of the very first “Ablaze for God Leadership Training-Workshop” held on April 2, 2011 at CFFC-San Isidro, Gomez, San Isidro, Isabela. The aim of this training-workshop is to let the leaders a) know who the Holy Spirit is, His names, attributes and His works in the lives of every believer; b) experience the intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit; c) know and become aware of the roles and responsibilities as church leaders, and d) how to be an active witness in areas of influences they are involved in.

The whole-day activity started with an opening prayer led by Bro. Clever Sermonia, the youth chairman followed by the praise and worship by the Psalmists of God Band. Bro. Novito Lacuesta, vice-chair of the men’s ministry welcomed the participants. The training proper followed immediately with Ptra. Mariebel M. Manango who lectured on the topic: “Make Me a Servant: Knowing Your Roles and Responsibilities”. She discussed the importance of servanthood and gave examples from the early church experiences in the bible. A workshop followed titled “Where Do I Belong?” where the leaders chose what ministry/department they wanted to be involved in by writing their names on the spaces provided for.

The Holy Spirit and You, the second topic was discussed by Ptr. Jose Adonis V. Manango, the Head Pastor. He taught about the Holy Spirit as the Third Person of the Godhead – not a force or power but God himself. He introduced the Holy Spirit in His different names attributed to Him. After the lecture, a salo-salo together for lunch was done.

The third topic on “The Gifts of the Holy Spirit” was handled by Ptr. Reynaldo O. Sermonia, Pastor of CFFC-Sta, Monica, Echague. He discussed one-by-one the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit that are available to every believer which can be used in any situation and give glory to God. He shared some experiences on the operation of such gifts.

The last topic titled “Reaching-out Strategies and Areas of Influences: was tackled by Ptr. Alexander F. Ritua. He stressed that each leader should consider himself as a co-worker in God’s vineyard. All should respond to God’s calling the each one should participate in the fulfilment of God’s Great Commission stated in Matthew 28:19-20.

In the evening, the Commitment Night and Anointing Service were held. It was so awe-inspiring to see that all the leaders came in their best dresses ever! The night was so special from the very start. We felt God’s presence as we worship Him singing the songs “Light My Life and The Potter’s Hand”. Special songs like “Paghirang”, “Gawing Handog Ako”, and “Pagtawag ng Diyos” were presented by the CFFC Singers really encouraged everyone. The video clip “People Need the Lord” was shown and left all the participants speechless.

Ptr. Jose Adonis Manango delivered his message centered on the Holy Spirit. He challenged all the leaders to make a stand and respond to the call that we must become His witnesses to the world (fishers of men), a co-worker in God’s vineyard and fulfilling God’s will in our lives. The anointing service was a heart-warming experience, as we worship and sang the song “King of kings, Majesty”, almost everyone were left sobbing. The leaders were anointed with oil as a part of commissioning and impartation of church leadership and gifts.

The distribution of certificates of participation to the 30 leaders was done after the anointing service which was awarded by the pastors and chairs of the youth, women and men’s ministries. An intimate prayer time with God was done after the awarding. With the closing song “More Power to You”, each one embraced the other leaders while telling them “more power to you in your service to the Lord”. All felt God’s presence and were teary-eyed after the service.

Truly, we were all once again refreshed, revived and became “ablazed for God”. To God be the glory!

Vision Sunday: CFFC-San Isidro Nudging Up to a Higher Level

It was a beautiful Sunday morning, March 6, 2011, the CFFC leaders and members were so excited as if they are expecting and waiting for something. The Youth Ministry led the praise and worship. The song “Consuming Fire“ touched everyone – we know, it’s a special touch from the Holy Spirit.
After the testimonies and rendition of special songs, the CFFC vision, mission, goals, objectives and work and financial plans for the year 2011-2012 (output during the leaders' planning-workshop in January 23, 2011) were presented by Ptr. Alexander F. Ritua in a powerpoint presentation. The congregation was informed on the activities and new initiatives of the church leaderships that gearing towards the attainment of the church vision.

During his message, Ptr. Adonis Manango, encouraged everyone to participate as one body in Christ since each one is playing a very vital role in the attainment of the vision which states that CFFC is …” A missions-driven church, praying, working together for a greater harvest and expansion of God’s kingdom and faithfully preparing for the coming of the Lord.” He further emphasized that each member should become a leader and the importance of being a co-laborer in God’s vineyard. That all should work hand and hand and be always available in serving the Lord until He comes. As the congregation sang the song “Oh the Glory of Your presence”, everyone felt the presence of the Lord. We stand in awe realizing that our theme for the month of March is “Ablaze for God.” Wow! Amazing! To God be the glory!

Think About His Love: A Celebration of God’s Love

"Think about His love, think about his goodness, think about his grace that brought us through…for as high as the heavens above, so great is the measure of our Father’s love…" these were the familiar lines of the song “Think About His Love” by Walt Harrah popularized by Don Moen.

All over the world, February is called the love-month. The CFFC conducted the “Think About His Love: A Celebration of God’s Love” last February 23, 2011. The aim of this special event is to gather the people from every age group to celebrate God’s love instead of the usual valentine’s day activity. This will also be a venue to reach out our families and friends and help them realize that our God loves them so much no matter how sinful they are.

The activity showcased different God-given talents presented in comedy skits, dances (sayaw ng lahi and tambourine dances), songs (solo and choir), drama and the Jesus loves you skits. These were actively participated in by the children, youth, women and men ministries’ leaders and members. The variety show was our offering to our God as an expression of our thanksgiving for his steadfast, unconditional and endless love. The attendees enjoyed the presentations centered on God’s love.

Ptr. James Aquino, our guest speaker during the evening shared about the love of God – which He gave his only Son Jesus Christ – the ultimate expression of His love to all mankind that whoever believes and accepts Him as their personal Savior and Lord will be saved. He led the attendees in a sinner’s prayer where many, especially the new comers accepted the Lord.

After the message, Ptr. Adonis Manango led the united prayer time – a declaration of blessings and victorious Christian living for all the families, personal relationship and service to our God. The giving of simple mementos and reading of encouraging love notes were done by Sis. Lina De Mayo and Sis. Mitrel Ritua. The leaders, members and everyone present were really uplifted knowing that somehow, anybody has touched other’s lives in their service to our God.

Indeed the night ignited the faith of everyone to be put into a higher level – that is, loving the Lord more than anything else in this world.

CFFC-San Isidro Starts Midweek Services

Another milestone in the history of the Cornerstone Family Fellowship Center of San Isidro, Isabela has taken place last February 2, 2011. It was the start of a much awaited Mid-week services! The activity was conceptualized in response to the requests of the members that there should be mid-week services to cater all age groups in the area for their spiritual development.

The activity ignited the zeal of the leaders to be used during the activity. The usual Sunday services program was also applied for the activity. All church leaders will took turn in serving as emcee, prayer leaders for the opening, prayer for the children, offering and closing prayers; and exhorters. This will be the right venue for all the leaders to be trained in all aspects - not to be ashamed standing in front of the people but rather being braved enough in proclaiming the goodness of the Lord. The service also highlighted the oath-taking ceremony for the 2011-2012 new sets of officers for the youth, women and men’s ministries. Pastor Adonis Manango who gave the message challenged everyone to give the best for the Lord – in serving God, as one family united in God’s service. The midweek service reminded all of us that we should work for the Lord not only during the day but also during the night. God bless everyone!

A Day of Days

There are some days that pass by and, while you enjoy the day, there are no lasting memories. The majority of our lives are filled with fairly normal routine days ... but some days are pure dead magic! Some days fill the future with wonderful memories. Yesterday was one of those days for me. A day when three really great things happened.

First, I met a lady who should have died 5 years ago but who today is alive, kicking and beautiful! Some of you know her story but for those who don't, here's the basics!

Pastora Julie has ministered many years in the mountains of Jones, around 30 mins from here. She is a remarkable woman who has shown amazing courage in the face of many threats from the NPA (Communist Guerrillas). In 2006, she felt sick and after going to Bagiou for checks she was found to have a huge tumour in her stomach. She underwent chemo for 2 months but it was too late. She was sent home 'to die, so she would not waste any more money." Here she was back then.

When I heard this, the gift of faith rose up within me and I told Pastor Nemi, "bring her to Sefton, we must pray for her." They carried her in and she was bald, weak and could not speak. As we prayed we rebuked the spirit of death. Something happened! For 3 months we prayed and she became stronger and stronger. Her hair began to grow and her appetite returned! She went home alright ... but not to heaven! - to her family.

And yesterday I saw her for the first time for years. She was beautiful, smiling and full of joy. She has planted some more churches and still wants to go where very few would dare! Amazing. Isn't God just amazing? There is never a lost cause for Him. It's never too late. Here she is today!

Second, it was the first official day of ministry at Cornerstone of Architect/Pastor Bong Lagmay! Bong is a dear friend and we worked together to build the Fire Centre. he's one of these guys that can do everything! He helped us when we started Cornerstone but in 2006 he went to Dubai to work for a British company as an architect. In Dubai he also became one of the Pastors in the Filipino Church. God has been preparing him!

In October he was suddenly told that his job was finished and he had to return to the Philippines immediately! A shock! But God's timing is perfect. We have been praying for a Manager at Cornerstone for a number of months - someone who could oversee the ministry of our new building (Cornerstone Centre Point) as well as manage and organise our Pastors and Office. I kept on thinking, "If only Bong was here!" And God heard my cry!

So after a few meetings and a few words from God to Bong and his wife Margie...he's started! He brings so much enthusiasm and excitement to us all and I know he is a significant key for the future of Cornerstone. Love that guy! Welcome aboard Bong!

Thirdly, I was sitting in my car thanking God for the first two things when I was sent a text asking me to out in 1143 AM on my radio. Yesterday was the first day of test broadcasting of FEBC Radio live from Sefton Village! As I listened to the music, I began to weep and thank God for HIS faithfulness. A dream delayed is NOT a dream denied!

God showed me in a very clear vision in June 1999 that one day we would have a Radio Station at Sefton. It seemed impossible ... but with God ALL things are possible! It is called DZMR and the MR doesn't stand for Mark Ritchie but Missionary Radio! The whole purpose of this station is to win the lost and reach the different tribes for Christ! I think they are aiming to reach around 15 people groups and languages to begin with ... exactly what God showed me in the vision!

Good things DO come in threes ... sometimes!

Christmas from the Heart: Reaching People, Touching Lives

December 30, 2010 – The men and women’s ministries of CFFC San Isidro, St. James and Sta. Monica jointly conducted a Christmas gift-giving activity titled “Christmas from the Heart: Reaching People, Touching Lives”. It is a carolling activity but instead of waiting for a peso after the songs, the group will be giving a Christmas package.

The group assembled at the church building and packed at least 30 christmas packages to be given away. The packages contain noodles, canned goods, notebooks, manna packs, rice and used clothes. The women sorted the used clothes for children, young ones and for the older ones. Some members donated a box of noodles, canned goods, cavan of rice and clothes for the purpose.

After the preparation, the group ate together for lunch. The group prayed together and asked God to bless every family that will be reached to proclaim God’s goodness. The first place that was visited was Sta. Monica, Echague, Isabela where one of our daughter churches is found. Different reactions from the visited families were seen. Of the ten families visited, there were four mothers that are pregnant. It was a very touching moment when one of the pregnant mothers cried and sobbed. She really felt God’s presence when she was being prayed by the group. She realized that God loves her so much and she was never been forgotten.

At Gomez, San Isidro, Isabela, a lady ran to her neighbour asking some money to be given to the group. But she was astonished when we said that she will be given instead of us.

In Rizal East, San Isidro, Isabela, four widows were reached out. Two of them were sick during the visit. As we prayed for them and their family members, they cried and embraced us very tightly. They were so thankful that someone remembered them during the Christmas season.

As we ended the day’s activity, we really felt God’s unconditional love and compassion to all people. It’s a great opportunity serving God through giving and telling others about His love and His gift of salvation ready for those who wanted to accept Him. We know from our hearts that as a missions-minded church, we are expecting more to come, because…it’s only the beginning! Happy New Year everyone!

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” - Isaiah 52:7

Double Celebration at CFFC - San Isidro

The CFFC San Isidro Men's Ministry (MM) and Women's Ministry (WM) members had a double celebration during their 2010 year-end joint fellowship held at the church building in the afternoon of December 28, 2010. The activity was organized to celebrate the 17^th Wedding Anniversary of Pastor Adonis and Sister Mariebel Manango and the 37^th Birthday of Pastor Alexander Ritua. There was no particular program during the activity since it was done in an impromptu mode.

The activity was uplifting and unforgettable that most of the attendees were teary-eyed during the giving of prayers and wishes for the celebrators. Some members shared and reminisced the times where the celebrators touched and impacted their lives. Interestingly, one of the women rose up teary-eyed also telling everyone that it was also their wedding anniversary. But she sad sadly that if only her husband is with the group, surely they will be happier. She is longing and praying that her husband will be attending soon.

The leaders and members prayed for the celebrators – that God will bless them more and will always be faithful in serving the Lord. A simple snack was served before the activity ended.

“We Are the Reason” Concert

As part of the festivities, the youth ministry spearheaded a mini-concert dubbed as “We Are the Reason” in the evening of December 19, 2011. It was the very first time that a mini-concert was held at the CFFC – San Isidro church building.

A month before the activity, the youth leaders and members brainstormed and decided to come-up with a mini-concert activity that would also become a venue for evangelism – reaching out other people. Preparations were done for at least three weeks only. The final repertoire of the songs was finalized when the singers and musicians perfected the songs during the practice. The stage was set in a concert mood after the church’s Christmas service during the day.

In the evening, Pastors Jonathan Winter and Adonis Manango inspired the audience to continue singing for the Lord declaring that San Isidro would become a place of worship where the mighty presence of the Most High resides. The repertoire started with a three lively songs setting the mood of every attendee excitingly. Six sets were prepared by the band. After each set, Pastor Alex and Pastor Rony Buena-Agua had drawn some door prizes for the audience following their numbers during the registration in the morning.

The audience were so blessed on the songs rendered by the band. They have proven that some church members have hidden talents from singing to playing musical instruments. They were also amazed when the band members took turns in singing and playing different musical instruments which gave an added attraction.

Pastor Alexander Ritua rendered his treasured composition titled “Throughout Eternity” arranged by the band. The song noted that each of us should aim to be with the Lord throughout eternity, that we should be faithful at all times, no matter what happens…The final song “Hesus” introduced who Jesus is – encouraging everyone to accept Him as their personal Savior and Lord. An altar call was done after the song and many responded raising their hands on their sits.

Before the activity ended, Pastor James Bastian encouraged the audience to support our Agta brothers and sisters (three of them were present). He thanked CFFC-San Isidro for supporting the Agta Missions.
The activity inspired all the members to carry out another concert in the future that will also participated in by men, women, youth and children’s ministries. As a challenge, the band will also serve as a part of the CFFC Evangelistic Team getting ready for future evangelistic crusades. The mini concert gave birth to the band called “The Psalmists of God.” To God be the glory!!!

CFFC’s 2010 Christmas Celebration

Last December 19, 2010, the Cornerstone Family Fellowship Centers of San Isidro, St. James (Batal, Santiago City) and Sta. Monica (Echague, Isabela) jointly celebrated the Christmas in a very special Sunday service.

Pastor Adonis Manango warmly welcomed all brothers and sisters. The praise and worship was so heart-warming adoring the King of kings and Lord of lords. The hall was filled with awe and laughter during the different department presentations. The children and youth groups presented song numbers. The women’s ministry presented the song ”Give Love on Christmas Day” with a dance number to the tune of “Felis Navidad”. The men’s ministry presented an all-men cast depicting the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ in the manger! The audience were laughing upon knowing that the cast were all men…(including “Mary”)!

Sister Vivien Sutherland gave her encouragement. Sister Jenny Morgan also graced the occasion. Sister Mary Ritchie delivered her Christmas message. As a speaker, she enthused the congregation the reasons why God the Father sent Jesus, i.e., love, to change our lives and give hope for everyone. After the message, the children, youth, women, men including the birthday celebrators of December were prayed for by Bro. Rony, Sis. Vivien, Sis. Mary and Sis. Jenny, respectively.

After the service, the congregation shared the Christmas “salo-salo” together for everyone. Each family brought delicious food. After eating, parlour games were introduced as part of the merry-making.

Indeed, the day’s activity reminded everyone about God’s love to all mankind – which Jesus Christ came to save and redeem His people. He is the only reason to celebrate, for without Him, Christmas would be nothing at all.

Celebrations!

Our kids enjoyed so much the parties at McDonald's. Around 400 kids and a few adults from different cornerstone churches did have a great time. Many of this kids are first time to have a meal in McDonald's. there are 20 kids from our church in Echague came, and they really have fun with the Singaporean teams, the Party, and the food.....hmmmm (chicken and our beloved rice).

PUSHING BACK THE FORCES OF DARKNESS... HIS KINGDOM ADVANCING! Praise the Lord! More than fifty (50) Cornerstone leaders graduated from the CREW TRAINING PROGRAM of Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines last December 10, 2010 held at the Cornerstone Centrepoint, San Andres, Santiago City.

The Cornerstone Recognized and Equipped Workers (CREW) TRAINING PROGRAM was designed by Ptr. Mark as a one year training program of Cornerstone Church leaders which includes a once a month seminar with different seasoned foreign and local speakers, preaching assignments, reading of books, evangelism, church visitations and exposure to Cornerstone church ministries. After successfully finishing this CREW PROGRAM, the graduates are now considered as CORNERSTONE RECOGNIZED AND EQUIPPED WORKERS. As graduates, they are recognized officially as Cornerstone Workers to help the next batch of CREW Training participants and is authorized by the Cornerstone Leadership to continue their ministry within their local churches and can be invited to preach in other Cornerstone churches.

The speaker during the night was Ptra. Geraldine "Joy" Salazar, Academic Dean of the Sefton Bible Training Center, and she preached about "Significant Living" for God as she encouraged all the CREWs to continue on serving the Lord with gladness in their hearts. Part of the program also were special numbers from Sis. Jenny Morgan and Ptr. Lawrence Salazar, SBTC Dean of Students. The highlight was the awarding of the certificate of recognition. A sumptuous snacks were served after the picture taking of the CREWS.

FIRST TEAM OF SINGAPOREANS VISITED CORNERSTONE NAGGASICAN

A first team of our brothers and sisters from Cornerstone Community Church Singapore arrived last December 6, 2010 and the team was headed by Sis. Maureen Low and Benson Low, his brother. The team, about nine (9) of them, came first to buy stuffs and goods as Christmas gifts to all the prisoners of BJMP Santiago and BJMP San Mateo numbering to about 250 heads and coloring books and crayons for 100 children in the emergency hospitals ofSantiago and Echague. Apart from purchasing all the goods, the team was also tasked to packed these goods so that it will be ready for distribution by the next team to come numbering to 28.

The team visited Cornerstone Church Naggasican last December 8, 2010 at 3:00 pm. They were warmly welcomed by Ptr. Danny, Ptr. August, Sis. Jane, Sis. Vivien and the children, young people and women of Cornerstone Church Naggasican. After praying at the church, the team together with the Naggasican brethren, were divided into four (4) groups for a few minutes of street pastoring. The brother and sister-in-law of Sis. Jane, Reynold and Lovelyn, who just arrived from Australia and active members of the Petersham Assemblies of God in Australia also joined the team in the street pastoring and house visitation.

Everybody enjoyed the street pastor ministry at Naggasican.

The Cornerstone United and Christmas party was held last

December 5, 2010 at the Cornerstone Centerpoint or CGCPI Headquarters at San Andres, Santiago City.

The united service started at exactly 9:00 am with an opening song

number or prelude by the CCN Bagong Himig. The children's choir sang the songs "Kumukutikutitap", a Tagalog Christmas song and "Gloria In Excelsis Deo". Sis. Jenny Morgan and the youth from Cornerstone Church San Fabian, Echague rendered special numbers. The Sefton Bible Training Center (SBTC) students performed an interpretative dance. One of the highlights of the service was the recognition and presentation of Pastors who are pastoring new and pioneering churches and the group singing of all the CGCPI Pastors and leadership. The Speaker during the united service was Ptr. Avelino "Bong" Lagmay who talked about "Faith".

After the service, the different churches had lunch at the main hall. Afterwhich everybody enjoyed the Christmas party at 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The Christmas party was spearheaded by Ptr. Jun Fernando, Ptr. Winston Bao-in and Sis. Jane Mangadap. Special numbers were given by the different Cornerstone churches and in between were parlor games.

CORNERSTONE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

The Cornerstone Leadership Summit was held last December 1 and 2 at the Cornerstone Centerpoint. The summit was attended by all the pastors, deacons and leaders of all Cornerstone Churches. The speaker on the first session which was held on the night of December 1, 2010 was Ptr. Mark Ritchie who presented to the body the Corporate Vision of Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines for 2011. He also spoke about the updates on the CREW trainings and the new building named Cornerstone Centerpoint. On the following day, December 2, 2010, all the Cornerstone churches gave a review of their 2010 plans and programs, accomplishments and target goals for 2011. The speakers during the second day summit were Ptr. Mark Ritchie and James Bastian who spoke about the finances of Cornerstone; Ptr. Winston Bao-in who spoke about the tentmaking, new policies for the staff and facilitated the reporting of each department; Ptr. Marlou Javier who spoke about the new policies for churches; Ptr. Danny Mangadap who spoke about church planting and new policies for pastors; Ptr. James Bastian who spoke about missions; and Sis. Jane Mangadap who spoke about Cornerstone Directory and the administrative side of Cornerstone particularly on uniformity of forms and documents to be used.

The summit was a success and all is set for Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines in welcoming the new year 2011. Everybody were blessed, encouraged and more motivated to work for the Lord.

We had a wonderful celebration of our 2nd Year Anniversary of our Church! Rev. Mark Ritchie is our speaker who preach about FAITH.

WE really enjoy the worship service with the powerful presence of the Lord. After worshiping God in song, we prayed, thank God of what He's done, and declare the fulfillment of God's vision to our Church, we sense the powerful touch of God when we prayed that our church will become a missionary sending church local and overseas. I felt the awesome anointing of God touched us and could not continue to speak but to sob in tears. We believe this is the heart of God to our church.

After the awesome service, was awesome foods prepared by members and lots of fun and games after.

Last time we prayed to build the stage and it was done through all your prayer and support. This week we'll be putting the windows and doors in front. I ask some help to our friends to donate chairs and they responded. i was able to solicit amount of 24 chairs, thanks to all of you. So great to be interdependent!

Let us walk in faith, it pleases God!

Update for church in Sinili

First, I just want to say sorry for not making news for many months. Thanking that our church in Sinili is keep on going for God, thanking to our friend from UK that visited in our church .Thank you to a GUITAR AID for giving us new and very beautiful guitar, very useful in our church during our church service. Our church was given an opportunity to teach Word of God at school once a week ( Monday@2:00 – 3:30pm). It is really a priviledge to teach around 180 children. Praise God and thanking God , for His goodness to everyone that attend in the church, because I saw and I heard of every testimonies of everyone attending in our church, how God blessed them in so many things, yes there is testing in life, but every time I have fellowship with them, I see how they serve the Lord, and handle difficult situation, before they always saying, many problems, hard to deal with it. Now I see the POWER of the Word of God. God can change people. God knows what is best for His people. I’m just steward of His people in church in Sinili. Last Nov. 21, is my Lovely wife birthday, a very special day for her, and I was very blessed and encouraged that day, because our people in Sinili prepared snacks for all of us, they said “this is their surprise gift to my wife(emmy lou). JONATHAN TRAINING FOR THE CORNERSTONE PASTORS AND LEADERS

The Jonathan Training was conducted at the Cornerstone Centerpoint or the new building of the Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines, Inc. last November 18, 2010 from 8:00 in the morning up to 5:00 pm. The training was facilitated by Rev. Jonathan Winter and Rev. James D. Bastian. It was attended by all the Cornerstone Church pastors, leaders and deacons. The training was the first in a series of five (5) to complete the module. Its main purpose is to train and equipped workers of Cornerstone Church for missions and for Church Multiplication Movement. All the participants enjoyed the training because of lot of workshops. The second Jonathan training is on January 22, 2011.

LAUNCHING OF CORNERSTONE CHURCH ARABIAT

After many weeks of cleaning, renovating and fixing the roofs of a vacant house owned by the former barangay chairman of Arabiat, Echague, Isabela, who happens to be a Christian, the building was finally finished and Cornerstone Church Arabiat was launched last October 24, 2010 at 9:00 in the morning with Ptr. Danny Mangadap as the speaker.

The first Sunday service at Arabiat was attended by mostly children and few adults but we believe that in the next Sundays to come, more adults will be attending the service as the children will be the ones to witness to them and usher them to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Teresa Liday will be the Head Pastor of Cornerstone Church Arabiat and she is being fully supported by the leadership of Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines and the active young people of Cornerstone Church Naggasican.

THE WRATH OF TYPHOON JUAN

This is the second time or third, if I am not mistaken, that Santiago City had been spared by the wrath of typhoons that hit the northern part of Isabela, whereas nearby towns and provinces were devastated.

Yes, typhoon Juan was the strongest typhoon that landed the country this year and this time, the eye of the storm was in Isabela. But it was so amazing that Santiago City had no reported heavy damages or deaths. Electric polls and lines as well as internet and other communication lines were not even destroyed nor cut off.

When Ptr. Adonis Manango, Ptr. Henry Rustia and I went to Cauayan and Naguillian yesterday morning, it was only then that we realized the damage left by the wrath of Typhoon Juan. From Cauayan City going down to Naguillian, many trees were being uprooted, electric posts made of concrete were cut into halves and fell to the ground, many roofs of houses were flown, banana trees were cut into halves, many trees have no more leaves, a gasoline shell station big roof or covering collapsed...and more. We have seen pupils in one public elementary school, gathering all dried leaves and cut off branches which are scattered in the entire school...and a lot more disheartening and demoralizing sights.

We visited some members of Cornerstone Church Naguillian whose houses and properties were totally destroyed. Even Cornerstone Church Naguillian was not spared by the wrath of the typhoon. Two (2) roofs of the church were being blown by the strong winds.

Our visitation to our brethren in Naggasican somehow gave relief to their grieving hearts. We prayed for them and encouraged them that the Lord will turn this mess into a blessing. Ptr. Adonis promised the brethren two (2) cavans of rice which he instructed Ptr. Kenneth and Ptr. Rey to repacked for the brethren of Cornerstone Church Naguillian who were affected by typhoon Juan.

We have learned from reliable source that Ilagan was worst hit by the typhoon but we were no longer able to visit the place due to lack of time.

Please continue to pray for our brethren in Naguillian and Ilagan who were affected by the wrath of typhoon Juan.

UK TEAM....FIRST MISSION EXPOSURE AT NAGGASICAN

The UK team who arrived last September 17 had their first mission exposure at BJMP and Naggasican. After the service and water baptism at the BJMP, the team of David, Richard, Matthew, Ailsa, Ingrid, Miriam, Christy, Zoe and Jade went to Naggasican to join in the regular kid's service. The team taught the kids powerhouse songs and dances and had an exciting game (finding shoes) with them. A story about the small and big crabs was shared by Jade to the delight of the children. A dance number for the Lord was performed by Miriam and company. The children had memory verse. Candies were given to all the kids and chocolate biscuits were given to the five most behaved boys and five most behaved girls. Our UK friends were touched and amazed when a Naggasican kid, Harold, who is ten (10) years old, led the praise and worship. Finally, at the end of the service, the Naggasican kids together with some young people and UK team danced the Ten Commandments Boogie. What an exciting service!

In the afternoon at 2 pm, other members of the UK team, Dad David, Ingrid, Ailsa, Nichola, Matthew, Gilbert, Kim, Mark, Sharon and Elizabeth, came for the Street Pastor ministry. They went around Naggasican with Ptr. Danny Mangadap and the Cornerstone Church Naggasican leaders and deacons, visiting houses, praying for the sick and every people they met on the streets.

In the evening at 6:30 pm, Ptr. Aran together with Miriam, David, Gilbert, Zoe, Jade and Christy came back to Naggasican to join the young people in their regular Youth Service. Everybody felt the presence of the Lord during the powerful praise and worship. Young people testified about their dreams and visions. Gilbert, Christy and Miriam also testified of the Lord's goodness in their lives. A dance number for the Lord was performed by Miriam, Jade, Christy and Zoe. All the young people moved forward during the altar call and all the pastors and the UK team prayed for them. God's presence was really so tremendous and awesome.

WE SHALL CONTINUE TO GROW

The Section 4 meeting of licensed preachers and exhorters was held at Balintocatoc AoG Church yesterday, September 14, 2010 at Balintocatoc, Santiago City. The attendance was great as 45 pastors, ministers, preachers and exhorters attended the meeting.

The meeting started with the sharing of God's Word by Ptr. Joji Ayenza. He said that all AoG churches or pastors need a WIFE, which stands for W -worship, I - instruction of the Word of God, F - fellowship and E - evangelism. Without WIFE, you are doing out of the kingdom of God.

He encouraged each one that Section 4 shall continue to grow.

Rev. Nestor Domingo, the Presbyter, presided the meeting which started at 9:30 am and ended at 1:45 in the afternoon. The meeting was a success having a good number of attendees, lots of healthy deliberations and discussions, good foods and great fellowship. Important points in the meeting were the upcoming MISSION CONVENTION on September 28 to 30, 201o to be held at the Sefton Fire Center, Sefton Village, Santiago City, AoG SECTION 4 YOUTH GATHERING on September 18 and 25 and MEN'S DISTRICT CONVENTION on November 7 to 9, 2010

at Sefton Fire Center.

Who will take our place when we're gone

A pastor who is eighty six years of age and fifty six years in the ministry said during a pastors conference "It's time to prepare our young people". I thank God for I learned to trust the younger ones. Since I turned over the Cornerstone Church in Ramon to Pastor Charlie and Pastor Osmar, I have observe that the youth group is growing spiritually and in number. Every Saturday, they have a cell group and music practice. I am so blessed with the young people because they allow God to use them. My vision and dream is to see this young pastors and young people doing great things for God's glory.

We are so bless and happy for the new guitar given by the guitar aid which the young people are using at the church. Thank you very much!

We organized a basketball game and it was held at the Sefton Fire Center, Sefton Village, Divisoria, Santiago City. I brought the youth from Echague and invited our own pastors to have a friendly game with them. What a day! We really played hard!

Last August 18, 2010 ,two combined teams from the UK visited Sefton Village. The two teams are from Rotherham Pentecostal Church of Rotherham, England headed by Ptr. George Jack (Jayne Jack, Emma Jayne Jack, Jonathan Jack, William Jack, Kirsty Allan, Lisa Smith and Pauline Barlow) and the other from the West country arranged through World Christian Ministries headed by Ptr. Andrew David (Stephen Walker,Julie Fox, Kevin Fox, Ann Kitchen, Perri Hunter, Ted Robson, Taffie Tamba, Rebecca Fox, Tracey Mascilo, Rosie Downham and Sam Churchyard). The two teams were warmly welcomed by the Sefton and Cornerstone Church family. We were so privileged to have the two teams for two (2) weeks. The fellowships and bondings between the UK Team and the Filipino Team were truly great, enormous and wonderful. Everybody were extremely encouraged and strengthened in every activities and ministry works. We are featuring some of the highlights of their short mission trip in the Philippines.

The UK team went around Sefton Village to have a look at the site's development like the establishment of the Sefton Fire Center, Sefton Bible Training Center, the AoG District Office, the Sefton Village Christian School (elementary and pre-school), Sefton Village Children's Home and the Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) Radio station.

JAIL MINISTRY

The UK team visited the inmates at the BJMP and held services for two Saturdays with Ptr. George Jack as Speaker. Discipleship trainings for the inmates were also conducted by the UK team. Some members of the team shared their life testimonies. The highlights of the visit of the UK team were the joint effort of the UK and Filipino partners in painting the cells at the jail and the water baptism of many prisoners.

EVANGELISTIC CRUSADE AT NAGGASICAN

An Evangelistic Crusade at Naggasican was held last August 25, 2010 with Ptr. George Jack as speaker. All the UK Team came to the crusade and prayed over to the people of Naggasican. Souls were saved and many were truly blessed.

The Cornerstone Church United Service was held last August 22, 2010 at the New Cornerstone Hub or Building. It was great to see all the Cornerstone Churches gathered together to praise and worship the Lord for the first time at the newly acquired building of Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines. The service was so great and marvelous!. Parts of the service were an opening song number from the BAGONG HIMIG (New Voice) Naggasican Cornerstone Children's Choir entitled "You Raised Me Up", followed by Words of Encouragement by Ptr. Andrew David. The praise and worship was led by the Cornerstone Church Main Praise and Worship Team and they were joined by Kirsty Allan, Rebecca Fox and Taffie Tamba as back-up singers and William Jack as drummer during the worship. Those who shared their life testimonies were Lisa Smith and Ann Kitchen. Emma Jayne Jack sang wonderfully and amazingly the song "Mary's Alabaster Box". Ptr. Andrew David, Kevin Fox, Ted Robson and Steve Walker prayed for Ptr. Danny and Sis. Jane Mangadap together with the Naggasican kids and young people. All the Cornerstone church pastors together with the UK team prayed for Mr. and Mrs. Roger Gatioan, former owner of the new Cornerstone building. The highlight of the service was the preaching of Ptr. George Jack about the importance of TIME. Part of the service also was the turning over or donation of a pick-up vehicle to CGCPI of Cong. Giorgidi Agggabao. Water baptism immediately followed after the united service.

Reached out to the pupils of Rizal Public Elementary School and ushered them to our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the Powerhouse@school Ministry of Cornerstone Church.

HOSPITAL VISITATION

The team prayed for the sick people at the Southern Isabela General Hospital during the hospital ministry of Cornerstone. The ministry work is regularly done at the SIGH every Wednesday of the week in partnership with the hospital administration headed by Dr. Ildefonso Costales Jr.

FEEDING PROGRAM

The UK team experienced administering the feeding program of Cornerstone Church in some chosen public schools of the city.

A pastors' wives night was held last August 20 at the house of Mark and Mary Ritchie. The UK women and Filipino women have a great time sharing to one another their life testimonies and the joy and challenge of being a mother and a pastor's wife. Jayne Jack shared God's Word and her ministry and encouraged all the pastors' wives. Everybody enjoyed the fellowship and bonding.

KIDS' SERVICE AT NAGGASICAN

The UK team joined the kids of Naggasican in their service last August 21, 2010. The team were so delighted and blessed to see the kids praising and worshiping the Lord with songs and dances. Ptr. George Jack shared his life testimony as a fisherman, Evangelist and Head Pastor to the Cornerstone Pastors, Staff and Leadership last August 24, 2010 during their regular meeting. Everybody were encouraged to serve the Lord.

CREW TRAINING

The CREW training was held last August 27 with Ptr. George Jack as speaker. He shared about the boat and the fishermen. He encouraged all the pastors, staff and leaders to be fully equipped as fishers of men.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY DAY

The Women's Ministry Day was held on August 28, 2010 at the Main church. This was attended and participated in by all the WM of the different Cornerstone local churches. Part I of the programme was a service and Jayne Jack of Rotherham Pentecostal Church, Rotherham, England was the speaker who shared and spoke about the Potter, the clay and the vessel. Parts of the service were the sharing of life testimonies of Lisa Smith and Pauline Barlow of Rotherham, England, special numbers from the WM Main, WM San Isidro and WM of Naggasican. Part II of the programme was the meeting proper wherein each local church WM gave updates, reports and accomplishments followed by Sis. Jane Mangadap's information to the body about the acquisition of a new building by the Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines and the need for the WM to also give a share for the refurbishment of the new building. It was a declaration of faith of Kirsty Allen 2 years ago when she said on her next visit, she will come back and speak to our church in pangal not on our rented place but to our new building.

Newly Constructed Church Building of Cornerstone Church Sinili

After two consecutive years of using a member's residence as an avenue during sunday service, the Cornerstone Church Sinili finally has started to construct its building, where sunday service and fellowship can be held on. Almost finish though!

Couple members of the church, Mr. & Mrs. Maximo Agustin, owns the residential Lot where the church building is built, has consented in the construction of the church building. By God's grace, we believe that the construction will be finished. Finances has always been the struggle of the church. However, we declare it by Faith that the Lord will provide the "means" to finish the construction... your prayers will surely help us!

Sefton Tribal Mission

The past several months have been full of activity with various UK teams, short-term mission trips into Tribal areas, teaching at SBTC and Evangelistic Film Showing in the AoG District here.

Last month we had two combined teams visiting Sefton one from Rotherham and the other from the West country arranged through World Christian Ministries. We were privilaged to have George Jack is wife Jayne and several of the West Country team come with us up to the mountains to conduct an evangelistic film showing in which five people came to Christ and many came forward for prayer for healing and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The result of the Film Show was that new people were added to the local AoG Church as well as the pastor and his wife encouraged and strengthened.

This month I'll be travelling down to Manila to attend a two week intensive training course with OMF which I'm really looking forward too. Also this month we have our AoG Missions Conference at Sefton Village with the theme of "Make Christ Known, where He is unknown". Over the next few months Sefton Tribal Mission plans to conduct Mission Awareness Seminars in various local churches and conduct mission workshops to help mobilize local Christians and churches for missions. Please kindly pray for the work of STM that God will use it mightly to mobilize and empower filipino's to reach their own indigenous peoples with the gospel.

CORNERSTONE CHURCH NAGGASICAN CONDUCTED 2ND CRUSADE AT NABBUAN

CCN conducted a second crusade at Nabbuan last July 9, 2010 in preparation for its launching of the first Sunday service on August 2010. Nabbuan is one of the three target areas of CCN for church planting.

The crusade started with a film showing, a true story of five missionaries being killed by a tribe that they were trying to reach out somewhere in Ecuador and about the Mighty moving of the Lord in changing the lives of these tribal people. After the film showing, Ptr. Jonathan Winter preached and shared the Gospel of Salvation. More than forty adults responded to the altar call and accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour on that night.

More crusades are coming up on July 15 and 16 at Arabiat and July 22 at Sta. Ana, Echague, Isabela.

MEDICAL MISSION HELD AT NABBUAN

A medical mission with Dr. Harvey Dhillon and company was held at barangay Nabbuan as requested by Cornerstone Church Naggasican. Nabbuan is one of the three barangays being reached out by CCN for church planting. The Cornerstone Church leadership and pastors were there to show support to the program and to pray for all the sick people. The CCN leadership and some leaders from the CCS Main church were also there to show support to the program.

AUNTIE JENNY MINTY LOVES THE NAGGASICAN KIDS

Auntie Jenny Minty really loves children and her visit in the Philippines is not complete without seeing and playing with the Naggasican kids. Last July 10, 2010, Auntie Jenny visited CCN but we nearly get disappointed when there were only about 30 children in the church when we were expecting about 200 to come.Those who were assigned to prepare the program were not also around due to emergency reasons, one has to assist in the medical mission at BJMP and others have to attend the IM trainings/seminar which were all decided the night before the kids ministry in Naggasican. But God is good that after 30 minutes of waiting for the kids, many came and we reached the target of 200 kids. However, before the program starts, Auntie Jenny had to leave because she had a lunchtime date with the orphans and aunties of Sefton Village Children's Home. Sis. Grace Viray and Sis. Jane, together with the young people, pushed through with the program, have parlor games, distributed candies and played the most exciting of all, the throwing of water balloons.

ADDITIONAL EDUCATIONAL SUPPLIES AND WEEKLY ALLOWANCES GIVEN TO CCN EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE BENEFICIARIES AS FUNDED BY ROPE CHARITIES

The Educational Assistance Beneficiaries of Cornerstone Church Naggasican being funded by ROPE has increased in number. The CCN program coordinators, Ptr. Danny and Sis. Jane have no choice but to add and consider other applicants due to their needs and due to severe poverty and to stretch the amount of grant from ROPE Charity to the present number of the beneficiaries.. From the previous number of 30 elementary pupils, it was increased to 40 pupils and from 20 to 25 high school students.

BAGONG HIMIG AND CCN THEATRE FOR CHRIST STARTED THEIR WEEKLY REGULAR PRACTICE

The " Bagong Himig" , Cornerstone Church Naggasican Children's Choir, composed of the CCN Educational Assistance beneficiaries started their practice last July 6, 2010. The choir was organized by Ptr. Danny Mangadap to develop the singing talents of the children and young people of Naggasican and use it to glorify God. Sis. Jane Mangadap, who was a former member and chorale coordinator of the Santiago City Government Employees Chorale Ensemble, is the one teaching the children and young people. Once the members of the Bagong Himig have improved and honed their singing, Ptr. Danny and Sis. Jane plan to get a professional music instructor to further teach the choir and prepare them to a higher level of performance.

The CCN Theatre for Christ also have resumed their regular practice every Wednesday of the week and they have started last July 7, 2010. There are about twenty (20) children and young people who newly joined the group and 30 minutes before the practice or workshop starts, these new members shall be given lectures or seminar about developmental theatre. The CCN-TFC is now having rigid practices and rehearsals in preparation for a special presentation on August, 22, 2010 (Cornerstone United) and September 26, 2010 (Cornerstone 6th Anniversary).

DISCOVERING MORE TALENTS IN NAGGASICAN

CCN is so blessed! God answered the prayers of the young people in Naggasican to have a drum set for the Music Ministry. CCN was able to acquire a drumset through the love gifts received by Ptr. Danny and Sis. Jane during their visit to the UK last April and May 2010. The Music Ministry of Naggasican was also finally organized and it is very encouraging to discover many talented young people in Naggasican, 4 young drummers, 5 rhythm guitarists, 1 base guitar player, 1 keyboardist and a lot of singers. They just need to be trained more. Ptr. Teresa Liday is in-charge of the spiritual growth of the members of the Music Ministry and she had already given two (2) sessions about the Ministry of Worship. Sis. Jane, with the assistance of Ptr. Daniel, Bro. John and Ptr. Dan Andrew (the Mangadap brothers) of the CCS Main Church, are teaching the young people on how to play the drums, guitars and the keyboard.

CCN AS ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM PROVIDER HAS 17 STUDENTS/REVIEWERS

After having learned that two (2) ALS students who were being reviewed by Sis. Grace Viray passed the examination last March 2010, got a high school diploma from the Department of Education and scholarship in College, seventeen (17) out-of-school youth and adult learners registered and enrolled in the Alternative Learning System being provided by Cornerstone Church Naggasican. They are presently having their classes and review every morning, from Monday to Friday, at Cornerstone Church Naggasican. Sis. Grace Viray is CCN's volunteer ALS teacher being assisted by Mr. Mabbalot, ALS Coordinator.

CORNERSTONE CHURCH LEADERSHIP HAD A STREET PASTOR MINISTRY IN NAGGASICAN

After agreeing to have a localized Street Pastor Ministry in areas covered by each local churches, the Cornerstone Church Leadership (Staff and Pastors) had its turn to have a street pastor at Naggasican last July 2, 2010 and many people were being reached out and ushered to our Lord Jesus Christ. Bible studies and cell groups were also being opened specifically in the Old Naggasican. Next Street Pastor shall be held at Gud, San Isidro.

NEW SET OF OFFICERS OF SECTION 4 MAKES A DIFFERENCE

The Southern Isabela Section is a part of the Northeastern District Council of the Assemblies of God composed of fourteen (14) towns with forty four (44) churches and sixty four (64) Pastors and Ministers.

Section 4, which Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines belongs, has a new set of officers who were elected last March 18, 2010:

Assistant Presbyter - Rev. Diosdado Ayenza

Secretary - Sis. Jane B. Mangadap

Treasurer - Ellen Lumang-ay

The Section 4 Pastors, Ministers and credential holders are having their regular meeting every second Tuesday of the month held usually at the NELDC Office, Sefton Village, Divisoria, Santiago City. The new sets of officers are indeed making a big difference in convening the pastors, ministers and credential holders. The regular meeting always starts with a devotion, followed by privilege speeches or testimonies of at least five from the group, reading and approval of the minutes of the previous meeting, business for the day, new agenda, other matters and an eating fellowship. The new officers are trying their best to make the flow of the meeting in order and be able to address the concerns of each pastors or ministers. The good news on the finances of the Section 4 is that there is a tremendous increase, about 200%, in the collections of church tithes and ministers tithes.

During the last meeting of the Section 4 last July 13, 2010, it was agreed upon by the body to make a difference by holding regular meetings in different churches and towns. This is one way of getting to know more about the different churches composing Section 4 and having fellowship not only with the pastors and associate pastors of said churches but also with their respective church workers.

SEFTON TRIBAL MISSION - STM

Exiting things are taking place at Sefton Village. God is expanding the ministry of Sefton! Last Monday the Northeastern Luzon District Council of the Philippine Assemblies of God officially recognized and endorsed Sefton Tribal Mission as a ministry in partnership between the AoG District and the British Assemblies of God through Sefton Village.

This new ministry will focus on working with the District Home Missions Dept to help strategize, mobilize and train local churches to target and reach un-reached and least reached indigenous people groups still found in region II through church planting initiatives. This will be a district wide ministry in which I have been asked to help establish for the furthrance of the gospel.

The Vision of STM is:

“To glorify God by working in partnership with likeminded churches, ministries to make disciples and help establish movements of reproducing indigenous churches, focusing on un-reached and least evangelized tribal peoples in region II and beyond”.

The Mission of STM:

“To help Equip local believers and churches in reaching indigenous peoples with the gospel through mobilizing and training initiatives”.

Therefore we are looking for individuals and churches who can help be a part of this new ministry through pray and regular financial support to help:

* Sponsor Filipino church planters.
* Sponsor trainings and mobilization.
* Sponsor Church Building projects in remote areas.

This is a great opportunity for Christians to actively be involved in reaching un-reached peoples with the gospel. This is something which you could help be a vital part of. Jesus said "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come" Matt.24:14.

The word nations in the Greek language means ethnos where we get the word ethnic, this means then Jesus' focus and command to his church is that all people groups, tribes and tongue must hear the gospel and have the opportunity to receive it. This is the responsibility of the whole church.

The Lord is doing a great work in the leaders of Cornerstone here in Isabela. Gently, the Lord is laying foundations that would keep the ministry going, and growing. That the work that God started here will remain even when we will not be around. It's a lot of work and loads of meetings, but "the joy of the Lord is our strength".

What a joy to see new and younger leaders being trained, prepared for a greater harvest. It is also great to share a good food, and really enjoy the fellowship.

Cornerstone Echague Update

At this moment, the ministry in Echague is 8 months old. We’ve been struggling for the past 2 months, due to the summer vacation. Praise the Lord, vacation is over, so all the people are back.

The growth of the church is very slow, and really a hard work. Until now, I’m a one man band. But praise God we are moving on forward. We are now looking for a better place of worship, that we a can utilize for training and discipleship. This will cost us, but we trust God.

We do have 3 cell groups at the moment, with a total number of 55 individual. Only 30 % are attending the Sunday service, for most of them are away during weekends. We are now praying and planning for a midweek service for the students.

Thank you for your prayers and support to us. Please continue to pray for us, that God will provide a place of worship, and new leaders to be train.

ROPE EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE BENEFICIARIES...SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND THE "BAGONG HIMIG"

Cornerstone Church Naggasican conducted last June 5, 2010 (Saturday) the distribution of school supplies to 20 High School students and 30 Elementary pupils, all Educational Beneficiaries of ROPE Foundation in coordination with CCN. The fund for the Educational Assistance Program for school year 2009 -2010 has a remaining balance/savings which was used to buy school supplies for the beneficiaries for this school year 2010-2011. It was very timely as classes starts on June 7, 2010. Apart from the beneficiaries, we were able to give extra school supplies also to other children, about 10 of them, who are not yet accommodated by the program but on the waiting list in case some beneficiaries will graduate from school. All the children and young people as well as their parents were very delighted and blessed. They extend their heartfelt and deepest thanks to ROPE Foundation.

The Naggasican children's choir, which shall be composed of the Educational Assistance and Daily Feeding Program beneficiaries with ages 6 to 13 was also organized by Ptr. Danny and Sis. Jane Mangadap together with Ptr. Teresa Liday. With its name " BAGONG HIMIG" or "NEW HYMN", the objectives of the choir is to train the children of Naggasican to sing for the Lord and use their talent to give glory to God and to give them opportunities to sing in the different schools (Public and private), government agencies, different private institutions and even in other towns and municipalities during Christmas and in different affairs and occasions. Once fully trained, we also look forward to having a simple concert of these children and young people in the future. Whatever love gifts or funds that they will received or raised shall be their funds and will be intended for their future needs, be it personal, for education or for their family. This is for their welfare. Sis. Jane, who had been a member of a choir during her high school and college days and even in her work before being the Chorale Coordinator of the Santiago City Government Employees Association (SACGEA) Chorale Ensemble, will start practicing the "Bagong Himig" on July 2010 with the help of some of her musician friends.

Please help us pray for the ROPE Foundation that has been helping and supporting the poor and indigent children and young people of Naggasican. Pray also for the victory of Jesus Christ in the lives of these children and young people of the "Bagong Himig" Cornerstone Naggasican Children's Choir.

BEHIND COLD STEEL BARS

I can still vividly remember when I was about 17 years old, I was often involved in a gang war, because I was then a very delinquent, crooked and rebellious youth. No day in my life before that I was not involved in any trouble or mess. The last gang war that I was involved in was the worse that I went to Nueva Ecija to hide because I know I will be put into jail. Policemen were really hunting for me. After a few years of cooling off, I went back to Santiago City and joined my cousin Micky, Ptr. Danny, the Mangadap brothers, Daniel Benjamin, John Thomas and Dan Andrew and Micko, son of Bro. Henry, in learning Aikido. It was then that Ptr. Danny shared to me the Word of God and I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour. From then on, my life was changed. I have that hunger for the Word of God and holy fear came into my heart not to sin or do things against the will of God.

I then regularly attend the Sunday services at Cornerstone Church with the Mangadap brothers and later on, I was able to usher my mother and sisters at Cornerstone Church also. My hunger for the Word of God became so intense and passionate that I had that desire to study at Sefton Bible Training Center. I thanked the Lord for touching the heart of Pastor Mark Ritchie for sponsoring my studies at the Bible School. Right after graduating from the SBTC, I became so active in Cornerstone Church as Associate Pastor at Cornerstone Church Naggasican and at the same assisting Bro. Mel Bareng in the Jail (BJMP) Ministry. When Bro. Mel and his family finally settled in Australia last 2009, the BJMP Ministry was turned over to me by our Senior Pastor, Rev. Mark Ritchie. Since then, BJMP has been part of my life and it is a great honor and privilege for me to minister to the prisoners. It is a great joy to see the prisoners being saved and spiritually free behind cold steel bars.

The BJMP or Bureau of Jail Management and Penology is located at Batal, one of the villages of Santiago City, being passed by when you go to Naggasican village. It is about two (2) kilometers away from Sefton Village.

When I came to know the Lord, six of my gang friends were put into jail with different cases. As I write this post, two are still at BJMP. I am so thankful that I have known our Lord Jesus Christ and I was seized by our Lord from darkness. If not, I would be one of those lingering behind cold steel bars of the BJMP. God is so good!

At present, BJMP has 300 prisoners with different cases like drug pushers, drug users, murderers, thieves, rapists, members of the New People’s Army ( Communist group), gun ban violators and other criminal offenses. If many are really crime offenders, there are also some who are innocent but cannot get out of jail because of the very slow progress of their cases. Justice in the Philippines is so slow and sluggish. There are also some prisoners who are not visited by their families and relatives because they are not aware that they are in prison and most often, these prisoners are the ones that are demoralize and dampen.

Cornerstone Church has a regular activity and service at BJMP every Saturday morning. Now, the prisoners themselves are in charge of the service program, in leading the opening and closing prayers, praise and worship (they already have a worship band) and even in sharing God’s Word. Many are gifted in teaching and preaching but the problem is they are being adjudged just because they are prisoners. God really is moving so amazingly in their lives!

Whatever offerings or collections we have in the service are being saved and used in buying basic necessities or needs of the prisoners like bath soaps, toothpastes, laundry soaps, shampoos and other important needs like sending text messages or mailing letters to their relatives, medicines of those who are sick, purchase of bibles for distribution to the inmates and others.

I am so blessed because aside from my sister Mildred, we have a new member of the team who is helping us in the Jail Ministry, Ptr. Rodel Hadloc of Urdaneta, Pangasinan. Ptr. Rodel is once a prisoner of the BJMP. He was apprehended before because of possession of unlicensed gun. He was so ashame, afraid, depressed, frightened, terrified (name it all) when he was imprisoned because he is already a Pastor during that time. It was such a long story. Nevertheless, he was already freed and he promised to the Lord that he will help me and Ptr. Danny in our ministry at Naggasican and in the Jail Ministry as well. At present, he was designated by Ptr. Danny to be in-charge of one of the three (3) church planting that we have started at Nabbuan, Arabiat and Sta. Ana, Echague. He was specifically assigned at Sta. Ana, Echague with my brother, Joseph Manio. Praise God that Ptr. Rodel is very energetic and always on the go for the Lord. The first Sunday service was held at Sta. Ana last June 5, 2010.

FOREVER BLESSED!!!

It has been 21 days since we arrived from the UK. Our apology if we were not able to post immediately at the blog about our great adventures and unforgettable experiences in the UK and about the amazing things that the Lord has done in the lives of the Filipino fishermen in Peterhead and Fraserburgh.

Our flight from London to Abu Dhabi took us 7 ½ hours, then, we stopped over at Abu Dhabi airport for about 6 hours. From Abu Dhabi to Manila, it took us another 8 1/2 hours of flight and as soon as we got out of the airport, we proceeded directly to the Victory Bus Station, waited for 3 hours for the bus and finally travel by ground for 12 hours. 12 hours travel and not the usual 8 hours because there were so many road repairs starting from Dalton Pass of Nueva Vizcaya up to Cordon, Isabela (whew! because of the election! You’re right Ptr. Steve!).Oh what a long and weary travel! We left London on the morning of the 18^th of May and reached Santiago City at 7am on the 20th. But praise the Lord ! we were able to catch up with the Despedida (Farewell) Party of the Kerr family (Matthew, Claire, Madeline and Ariella). We thought we were fine then and can go back to work immediately on the following day, but for the next days and about more than a week, it was terrible. We have a jetlag and were hard up in adjusting to the time zone difference. We cannot help but sleep at daytime and awake during night time. After recovering from jetlag, we again find it hard how to start at work and ministry. What shall we do first was the big question. But finally, we’re back to normal although our mind is still left in Scotland.

The ministry work we had with the Filipino fishermen, the happy and unforgettable time and experiences we had with our Scottish friends, the beautiful sceneries (Balmoral Castle, Duthie Park, Scott Monument, Edinburgh Castle, Sheffield, Chatsworth House, Biblical Garden, Baxter, Myrus Golf Driving Range, Gardenstown, Pennan, & Crovie, Gamrie, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, House of Parliament, Downing St, Green Park, London Bridge, London Eye, etc.) and new things that we have seen in Scotland, Shetland (thanks Neil & Linda) and England (thanks George & Jane), the wonderful and memorable fellowships we had with the Filipinos and Scottish brethren and friends in Peterhead and Fraserburgh, the links we had established with different pastors, leaders and members of AOG churches, the different delicious meals and desserts (fish and chips, mints and tatties, Cullen skink, hoggies, lamb’s kidney, fresh cows milk, Scottish tea, the famous Scotland ice cream, etc.), the friendship, warm and hospitality of the Scottish, the cold weather…all these still fresh in our minds and embedded in our hearts, will forever be treasured and cherished for the rest of our lives.

We truly thanked the Lord for DAVIDand GRACE STRACHAN who blessed us tremendously by sponsoring our trip to the UK, warmly accommodated us in their home, spent a lot of time to us even if they are so busy at work, and have arranged all our schedules making every day in our stay in UK very fruitful, productive and memorable. To David and Grace, we once again extend our heartfelt and deepest thanks to you, for all the things that you have done, for the love, understanding, patience and everything! You are a great couple! You have a great family! We now know why the Lord is blessing you so much…because you are a blessing to many people, especially to the Filipino fishermen who are working so hard in your country and sacrificing being away from their family. You show them love. You give them joy. You offer themfriendship. They find comfort in your presence and feel no stranger in your place. They feel at home every time they’re with you.

To all those who are reading this post, we request for your prayers for the ministry of David and Grace Strachan to the Filipino fishermen that it will grow, expand and be fruitful indeed. Through this ministry, many souls are being saved, not only Filipinos but other fishermen with different nationalities as well. Pray for the couple’s strength and vigor. Pray for God’s protection to their family and business as well and provision to all their needs.

Since we arrived from the UK, we never stopped praying for all the Filipino fishermen who accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. Let us pray that they may continue to be nurtured and grow spiritually. Let us pray for George Power, the Superintendent of the Fishermen Mission, who like David and Grace, also has a burden for the spiritual growth of the Filipino Fishermen. Let us pray for Dad Davey, Eddie, Alec and James Reid and others who are helping the Strachans in making follow-ups to what God has started with these saved Filipino fishermen.

We thanked Mark and Mary. If they haven’t obeyed the Lord, we will never experience all these things. It is because of their humility and obedience to the Lord why we are also here serving the Lord. They have been always around to give us all the encouragements and support to our children, our family and the ministry. Mark and Mary, you are great!

Scotland indeed is a very beautiful and blessed country. The people are very warm and caring. We will never forget everybody who sacrificed their time and money just to give us the best treat, pleasure and enjoyment in the world.

"NO KIDS MINISTRY IN THE CHURCH, NO FUTURE OF THE CHURCH"

Children ministry in the Church is very important because the children will take the place of the young people and the young people will take the ministry of the adults when they are with the Lord. Therefore, every local church must establish a kids' ministry.

Last week, from June 3 to 5, we conducted a Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) at Ramon Cornerstone Church and there were 35 kids who attended the DVBS. After the two and a half days of various activities like playing games, conducting workshop, memorizing verses, singing and others, the children got so excited that is why at the end of the DBVS, the children gave their lives to Jesus Christ. Praise God for that!

FIRST SUNDAY SERVICE HELD AT STA. ANA, ECHAGUE....START OF A NEW CORNERSTONE CHURCH!

A crusade was held at Sta. Ana, Echague last April 28, 2010 as part of the goal and vision of Cornerstone Church Naggasican to plant

three (3) churches before the year ends.

Last Sunday, June 6, 2010, was a day of God's victory and prompt achievement of the goal and realization of the vision to plant a church. Upon request of the brethren at Sta. Ana, Echague, the first Sunday service was held at 6pm at the backyard of Joseph and Josie Manio's house at Sta. Ana. A team of leaders from Cornerstone Church Naggasican, Ptr. Danny Mangadap, Ptr. August Manio, Ptr. Rodel Hadloc, Jane Mangadap, Jimboy Aguilar, Nelly Oquialda, Joseph and Josie Manio, and Rose and Jennyrose Linglingon, went to the place to start the Sunday service. 17 children, 14 young people and 10 adult attended the first service. Ptr. Danny Mangadap shared his life testimony and preached about having a new vision, new heart and new step of faith (Isaiah 43:18-19).

Sis Maureen, our friend from Cornerstone Singapore, came to our church last April 25, 2010. During the service she spoke to us about the coming revival and the sign is the physical early rain. The congregation prayed to ask for the rain then after the church service an hour and half , a heavy rain came that lasted almost an hour. Praise God!

Last April 4, 2010 we celebrated our easter Sunday service under Dalibubon bridge 5 o’clock in the morning. We had baptism, swimming, picnic and lots of fun!

From Comfort Zone to Courage Zone

And the Lord said to Moses, "Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward (Exodus 14:15). To go forward is not easy. God is asking Moses and Israel to get out to their comfort zone. This is what I've learned,that God is asking us to move forward..."to get out of our comfort zone."
Actually this year, God is asking us to step on faith. I mean to add another service at the Church. For me that is a hard thing, 'coz we have already two services every sunday (Morning and evening service). I enjoyed the services at the church and so happy that many people are attending at the church. So when God is asking us to add another service, I tell you the truth, I'm afraid. I'm afraid that maybe only few people are attending. But what i've learned is that, we need to obey God and to trust Him. That's why we launch our new sunday service and I saw the favor of the Lord, many people are attending at the church, many new faces, many new friends, many new brothers and sisters in Christ. Halleluiah.
Second, is Cell groups and prayer meeting. Many time we tried to have a strong and dynamic cell group but we failed. We tried again, but again and again we "Failed." Until we almost surrender. That's why I and my wife, devoted ourselves to pray and fast and gave a challenge to our workers to pray and fast with us. We launch again the overnight prayer meeting but this is very different. Before our overnight prayer meeting is once a month but now is weekly. I said to the workers, "we need to pay the price" that's why we decided to have a weekly overnight prayer meeting and praise the Lord God is really moving in our midst, the overnight meeting is so great, we have many visitations from the Lord, visions, revelations, prophecy and refresh. And thru this the Lord spoke to us to re-open the Cell groups. So before we open the cell groups, I and my wife begun to reseach about the cell groups, reads many books about cell groups, and ask some believers about cell groups. So when we understand about the principles of the cell groups, we shared our vision to our workers. First to young people and young adults, second to mens and third is to womens. We started to share the cell vision last January 2010. After we shared the vision, we started to trained the potential cell group leaders. After the training, five (5) of them begun to open their cell groups. And from february to may 2010 we opened eight (8) strong, alive, growing, and powerful cell groups. Many are being saved and we started to trained the new believers. And this month we will open again another three cell groups. And the good news is, we are prapairing about seven potential cell group leaders to open cell groups by the third quarter (July-September) of this year.Twenty cell groups by the end of this year is POSSIBLE!!! I believe that within five years we will be able to open one hundred (100) cell groups by the grace of the Lord.
Third is our new Building. A couple of years ago, after the sunday night service, a ten (10) year old girl went to me and she is crying and said to me, "Pst. Marlou forgive me 'coz I did not tell to you what the Lord is saying to you!" I said to her, "What is the Lord saying to me?" She said, "The Lord said, 'Marlou be prepared I will give the thousand members that I've promise to you (I did not tell to this girl what the Lord said to me about the thousand members, but the Lord revealed to this young girl) and I will give you a place, a beautiful church building (she describe to me the building that she saw in a dream. The amazing thing is, it is exactly the same building that we are buying now. Halleluiah)." After two years, the Lord is fulfilling what He has promise to us. So pls, brothers and sisters in Christ continue to pray for us. Selah

CREW TRAINING

The CREW Training, which was moved from May 28, 2010 to June 4, 2010, was astonishingly different because of three things. First, it was held for the first time at the Cornerstone Church Santiago Main. Second, we had an eating fellowship in celebration of Ptr. Mark's 41st birthday an hour earlier before the training. Third, the message was so powerful, significant and sensible for the Cornerstone Church leadership - the STRATEGIES OF WAR.

The Cornerstone Church Office (CGCPI Headquarter) at the main church was ransacked by a thief (or maybe thieves) two nights before we had our CREW training. The flat screen monitor of the office's computer, keyboard and mouse were stolen and all the other doors (main hall, kitchen, kids room) showed signs of attempt to forcibly open. This incident caused discouragement to the leadership staff but nevertheless, this never hindered the celebration of Ptr. Mark's birthday and the CREW training on the following day.

Praise the Lord! We had a simple celebration of Ptr. Mark's birthday before the CREW training. All the leaders and staff brought meals and menus to share. The highlight of the celebration was the showing of video clippings of birthday greetings from Ptr. Mark's family, close friends and associates in the UK, particularly from Fraserburgh, Peterhead and Rotherham. This was absolutely a big surprise for Ptr. Mark. When my wife, Jane, and I went to the UK, we both have planned to take secretly video birthday greetings from Ptr. Mark's family and friends, which we intend to show on his 41st birthday celebration to surprise him. Praise God the video was smoothly done and shown to the delight of Ptr. Mark and the CREWs even if it was just prepared by Jane and my sons, Daniel, John and Dandan the night before the CREW training. We hope to post this video on the blog this week.

After the eating fellowship, all the pastors prayed for Ptr. Mark, then, we proceeded to the CREW training with Ptr. Mark as the speaker. He spoke about the BRITISH ARMY STRATEGIES OF WAR. To win a war, we must know who we are fighting. We must know our enemy. We can overcome our enemy by THE BLOOD OF JESUS, PRAYER, PRAISE, THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY and by wearing THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD.

As leaders, we must be disciplined amidst conflict, need time to re-evaluate, re-strengthen, re-group and rest, must be able to encourage and sacrifice for each other, must have an offensive action, must have the element of surprise, must maintain confidence and morale, must have good administration and communication, must have cooperation and must be flexible to change.

As we go on our journey as Cornerstone Church, we need to be like the "Men of Issachar" - 1 Chron 12:1-2,22-23

Kerrs Land in Northern Ireland

Hello to all our friends in the Philippines and in the UK.

It seems like ages ago we left Sefton but we have only just arrived in Northern Ireland after 2 weeks of travelling and visiting, and things are still very busy as we begin to settle into our new home. So I am afraid this blog will have no photos, because I am not yet that organized. But I just wanted to let everyone know that we have finally arrived and we are all well.

It has been really good to visit different friends and family that we have not seen in years and our girls are especially delighted to play with their Irish cousins.

We have all been through and are still going through so much change, it will take us a while to process it all. Perhaps we shouldn't be but we are so amazed at Gods promises of faithfulness coming true. They really never fail! We want to thank God now because he has provided for us in ways we never imagined. From the small things to the big things, even to giving us a house to live in and a car, both through people we don't even know!

Madeleine starts school on Monday and Matthew will begin looking for work, we will hopefully get internet connection in our home next week and will give another update then (with photos).

We miss all our friends in Sefton very much. Thank you for special times and great memories.

Floods upon the Dry Ground

Hi folks ... we're home!

After 7 weeks in freezing cold Arctic UK, we are back in beautiful Philippines. It feels as if we have stepped from the freezer into the oven but we are glad to say that the searing temperatures we came back to a fortnight ago have dropped. In fact, we have had the first rain for 6 months here in Santiago and all of a sudden the horrible yellow dusty colour of our grass has turned lush green.

It made me realise that we need constant spiritual refreshing in our lives.

It is so easy to become dry and arid ... so easy to let the 'cares of this world' take away the life of God in us. When we are dry and brittle it is not a good sight and is certainly not pleasing to the eye. When we go through difficult times - wilderness times - our attitude and our spirit can often be negative and so lethargic.

But what a difference the rain makes. All of a sudden the yellow becomes green, the short becomes lush and the dead becomes alive. New life. New shoots. New energy. Sefton Village has become a paradise again ... all because of 3 days of rain! Wow. What a thought.

No matter how dry we are of how difficult a time we are having or how long we are in the wilderness for ... there is always refreshing with God! he can always supply a drink of cool water. He can always pull us through and pick us up. He can always shower us with good things. No matter how hard it gets ... we have a God who can bring us to places of rest and refreshing. Check out Psalm 23 and see how blessed we really are:

He is my shepherd
I will not live in want
He MAKES ME lie down
Where? In green, lush pastures ... places of plenty, much food and safety
He leads me beside quiet waters
He restores my soul. Again. Again. And Again.
He guides me in his ways
We need not fear death ... for He is with us
His rod to comfort us
His staff will lead us
He prepares a table for me.
Where? right slap bang in the middle of mine enemies!
And they cannot scare me, touch me or harm me!
Why? Because he anoints us with His spirit
Our cup of blessing constantly overflows!
Goodness and Mercy will CHASE after me ...
EVERY DAY that I live
And when it's all over here ...
it's just beginning in heaven
For I will dwell in His house ... forever

So whoever you are - a Filipino trying to make it through life, a Pastor trying to lead the church in the ways of God, a housewife in UK bringing up a family, a businessman in Singapore trying to survive recession ... let me tell you the great news today. Maybe you feel that life is yellow, arid, dry and dusty - but if you will stop for a while and reach out to God, his rain and refreshing is only a prayer away. No need just to survive ... you can thrive!

Listen to the promise of the Lord in Isaiah 44:3 (NLT)

For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields. And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, And my blessing on your children.

Praise the Lord !!! Through His help we finish victoriously our VBS this year 2010. We have 25 children and 6 teachers. The children learn many thing about Loving the Lord. My teachers from Sinili they are very happy and excited as they teach the children. Thank God through this activity we can able to win souls, develop young leaders, and motivate their potentials.
During their graduation day, it’s a very timing that we have friends from Singapore, jaslyn and Ben Chew. Jaslyn shared her amazing testimony, and was touch and blessed. Ben shared the word of God. They really blessed us in so many ways. Thank you Ben and jaslyn.

Wow! Only 2 days left, it is Crazy!

Calayan Mission Trip

Greetings from the Philippine Islands. Two weeks ago I had the privilege of visiting the only Assemblies of God Church in the Bayuyon Group of Islands situated off the northern coast of Luzon mainland and south of the Batanes Group of Islands. I will never forget this particular trip as long as I live. What was supposed to be a 5 hour ferry boat ride, took us over 24hrs! While in route to Calayan Island we were met by an unexpected storm with waves from both the Pacific and South China Sea reaching 6 to 7 feet high, both of which caused the ferry boat to nearly capsize, due to this many on board were being sick (including myself), the pilot decided to seek shelter in a near by Island (the one which we had come from), though it could about 2hrs to reach as the waves and the weather were pretty bad.

We had to spend one night on the ferry boat. The crew were kind enough to cook food for those of us without any food. We had a film show for the ferry passengers that night. The following morning the pilot attempted to cross the channel to Calayan Island only to be met by high waves again and so returned to the same Island we had come from. After an hour or so, the pilot went for a third attempted and thankfully we were able to cross before the bad weather closed in again.

Calayan Island is home to one of the newest type of birds to be found (the Calayan Rail bird). We spent a week ministering and encouraging the pastor and the church, conducting evening meetings as well as evangelistic film showing. The pastor and his family lived in a very small house with an amazing view of the sea. Pastor Paul must be one of the only AoG pastors whom I know who lives so remote and does not usually have the opportunity to fellowship with other ministers from his own group. However as a testimony he did mention that he was a part of a minister's association on the Island which was made up of pastors from various church denomination's.

This particular trip reminded me of one of Raynalyne's and my goals to help encourage and strengthen pastor's such as pastor Paul who live and serve the Lord in some of the remotest and neglected places.

This month of May is really busy, and exciting:

May 17 to 20 will be our Pastors Refreshing week at the fire center. we are expecting many pastor will come to be refreshed and encourage to continue the work of the ministry. Our main Speakers will be Jonathan Winter, and Benjamin Chew.

May 21 will be the graduation day of our students in the bible school.

May 23 to 25 will be our first ever Cornerstone youth camp. We are expecting about 200 youth will turn up. Many of them are unbelievers, for we challenge our youth that each one bring one. Many did respond and we are really excited for its going to be a great harvest. At the moment, we are raising fund for this activity. Our youth can't afford to pay for it, so we need help. CORNERSTONE CHURCH NAGGASICAN AIMING FOR THREE-POINTS SHOT!

With its target goal to plant three churches before the year ends, Cornerstone Church Naggasican conducted three (3) crusades for the month of April in coordination with the barangay officials. One barangay of Santiago City and two barangays in Echague, Isabela, all adjacent barangays of Naggasican.

APRIL 14 CRUSADE
6pm to 8pm
Venue: Barangay Community Center
Nabbuan, Santiago City

The crusade at Nabbuan, Santiago City was spearheaded by the CCN leadership in coordination with the Sefton Bible Training Center headed by Ptr. Lorenz Salazar and Ptr. James Aquino. The whole programme was prepared and participated in by the SBTC students. Highlights of which are film showing entitled "Pagtawid", a human presentation by the SBTC students, the preaching of Ptr. Teresa Liday focusing on salvation, healing and deliverance and finally, an altar call. Out of the 70 adults/children attendees, 40 responded to the altar call and accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

APRIL 21
Venue: Barangay Community Center
Arabiat, Echague, Isabela

The crusade was solely spearheaded by the CCN leadership composed of Ptr. August Manio,Ptr. Teresa Liday, Ptr. Rodel, Sis. Rose Linglingon, Sis. Regina Africano, Sis.Emelda Briones, with the support of Ptr. Daniel Benjamin Mangadap, Joboy Mangadap, Mildred Manio, Jonas and Kenneth of the main church and special particpation of the CCN Theatre for Christ - Rica Mae Cumarat, Jingle May Linglingon, Princess Bautista, Jelly Anne Linglingon and George Linglingon Jr. Sis. Rose Linglingon preached the gospel of salvation. 70 adults and children attended the crusade and 12 adults responded to the altar call and accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour.

APRIL 28
Venue: Brangay Community Center
Sta. Ana, Echague, Isabela

The crusade at Sta. Ana, Echague, Isabela had an attendance of 80 adults and children. Ptr. Rodel preached about Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour to the adults and children and 50 responded to the altar call asnd accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior.

The Cornerstone Church Naggasican brethren took turns in supporting the 3 crusades by praying in the church and donating foods and snacks during the crusade according to their capacity and availability. There were some problems encountered such as a very hot weather, lack of space for the presentations, vehicles bogged down and brownouts. But in the end of the 3 crusades, God's faithfullness in answering our prayers was proven beyond reasonable doubt. He is victorious in all of the 3 crusades.

After these 3 crusades, an on going once a week follow-up is being undertaken by the CCN leadership and we aim to start three churches with 15 baptized members each before the end of 2010.
