Celebrations!

Our kids enjoyed so much the parties at McDonald's. Around 400 kids and a few adults from different cornerstone churches did have a great time. Many of this kids are first time to have a meal in McDonald's. there are 20 kids from our church in Echague came, and they really have fun with the Singaporean teams, the Party, and the food.....hmmmm (chicken and our beloved rice).

CREW GRADUATION

PUSHING BACK THE FORCES OF DARKNESS... HIS KINGDOM ADVANCING! Praise the Lord! More than fifty (50) Cornerstone leaders graduated from the CREW TRAINING PROGRAM of Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines last December 10, 2010 held at the Cornerstone Centrepoint, San Andres, Santiago City.

The Cornerstone Recognized and Equipped Workers (CREW) TRAINING PROGRAM was designed by Ptr. Mark as a one year training program of Cornerstone Church leaders which includes a once a month seminar with different seasoned foreign and local speakers, preaching assignments, reading of books, evangelism, church visitations and exposure to Cornerstone church ministries. After successfully finishing this CREW PROGRAM, the graduates are now considered as CORNERSTONE RECOGNIZED AND EQUIPPED WORKERS. As graduates, they are recognized officially as Cornerstone Workers to help the next batch of CREW Training participants and is authorized by the Cornerstone Leadership to continue their ministry within their local churches and can be invited to preach in other Cornerstone churches.

The speaker during the night was Ptra. Geraldine "Joy" Salazar, Academic Dean of the Sefton Bible Training Center, and she preached about "Significant Living" for God as she encouraged all the CREWs to continue on serving the Lord with gladness in their hearts. Part of the program also were special numbers from Sis. Jenny Morgan and Ptr. Lawrence Salazar, SBTC Dean of Students. The highlight was the awarding of the certificate of recognition. A sumptuous snacks were served after the picture taking of the CREWS.

By January 2011, another set of CREW TRAINING PROGRAM participants and those who did not graduate have to undergo the same one year training program. PLEASE CONTINUE PRAYING FOR OUR NEXT BATCH OF CREW TRAINING PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

FIRST TEAM OF SINGAPOREANS VISITED CORNERSTONE NAGGASICAN



A first team of our brothers and sisters from Cornerstone Community Church Singapore arrived last December 6, 2010 and the team was headed by Sis. Maureen Low and Benson Low, his brother. The team, about nine (9) of them, came first to buy stuffs and goods as Christmas gifts to all the prisoners of BJMP Santiago and BJMP San Mateo numbering to about 250 heads and coloring books and crayons for 100 children in the emergency hospitals ofSantiago and Echague. Apart from purchasing all the goods, the team was also tasked to packed these goods so that it will be ready for distribution by the next team to come numbering to 28.

The team visited Cornerstone Church Naggasican last December 8, 2010 at 3:00 pm. They were warmly welcomed by Ptr. Danny, Ptr. August, Sis. Jane, Sis. Vivien and the children, young people and women of Cornerstone Church Naggasican. After praying at the church, the team together with the Naggasican brethren, were divided into four (4) groups for a few minutes of street pastoring. The brother and sister-in-law of Sis. Jane, Reynold and Lovelyn, who just arrived from Australia and active members of the Petersham Assemblies of God in Australia also joined the team in the street pastoring and house visitation.


Everybody enjoyed the street pastor ministry at Naggasican.

CORNERSTONE UNITED SERVICE AND CHRISTMAS PARTY


The Cornerstone United and Christmas party was held last
December 5, 2010 at the Cornerstone Centerpoint or CGCPI Headquarters at San Andres, Santiago City.

The united service started at exactly 9:00 am with an opening song
number or prelude by the CCN Bagong Himig. The children's choir sang the songs "Kumukutikutitap", a Tagalog Christmas song and "Gloria In Excelsis Deo". Sis. Jenny Morgan and the youth from Cornerstone Church San Fabian, Echague rendered special numbers. The Sefton Bible Training Center (SBTC) students performed an interpretative dance. One of the highlights of the service was the recognition and presentation of Pastors who are pastoring new and pioneering churches and the group singing of all the CGCPI Pastors and leadership. The Speaker during the united service was Ptr. Avelino "Bong" Lagmay who talked about "Faith".

After the service, the different churches had lunch at the main hall. Afterwhich everybody enjoyed the Christmas party at 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The Christmas party was spearheaded by Ptr. Jun Fernando, Ptr. Winston Bao-in and Sis. Jane Mangadap. Special numbers were given by the different Cornerstone churches and in between were parlor games.

CORNERSTONE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT



The Cornerstone Leadership Summit was held last December 1 and 2 at the Cornerstone Centerpoint. The summit was attended by all the pastors, deacons and leaders of all Cornerstone Churches. The speaker on the first session which was held on the night of December 1, 2010 was Ptr. Mark Ritchie who presented to the body the Corporate Vision of Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines for 2011. He also spoke about the updates on the CREW trainings and the new building named Cornerstone Centerpoint. On the following day, December 2, 2010, all the Cornerstone churches gave a review of their 2010 plans and programs, accomplishments and target goals for 2011. The speakers during the second day summit were Ptr. Mark Ritchie and James Bastian who spoke about the finances of Cornerstone; Ptr. Winston Bao-in who spoke about the tentmaking, new policies for the staff and facilitated the reporting of each department; Ptr. Marlou Javier who spoke about the new policies for churches; Ptr. Danny Mangadap who spoke about church planting and new policies for pastors; Ptr. James Bastian who spoke about missions; and Sis. Jane Mangadap who spoke about Cornerstone Directory and the administrative side of Cornerstone particularly on uniformity of forms and documents to be used.

The summit was a success and all is set for Cornerstone Group of Churches in the Philippines in welcoming the new year 2011. Everybody were blessed, encouraged and more motivated to work for the Lord.
