HELGA MOSEY CHILDREN’S HOME
We presently have 18 children in the Home, 8 boys and 10 girls. A full house and what a lively bunch they are! Full of potentials and mischieves. We appreciate very much all the 7 aunties who have given themselves sacrificially in order to see the children grow and develop. They continue to love all the children despite their backgrounds, behaviors and capabilities.
At this time, our children have not been so well. They are suffering from pneumonia, asthma, cough, colds and high fever. They have been to the hospital and under medications now. Please pray for them.
We are so happy that Ryan Corpuz, one of our children who had been adopted through international adoption, is really doing well. He is settled and seems very happy with his new family. He is now trying to communicate with his parents in Italian.

We have our devotions every Thursday with all the aunties. Ma’am Mary, our Executive Director in the Home, leads the group. This is the time when we pray for each other, with the children and for any prayer requests. It is hard sometimes to concentrate and focus in prayer because of the children around but this is not a hindrance or excuse not to meet together in prayer, to study God’s word and be encouraged with each other. We studied and finished the Old Testament and now we are studying a book called “I’M NOT GOOD ENOUGH…..and other lies women tell themselves” by Sharon Jones. These are some of the topics :
1. I am not good enough
2. I am a failure
3. I am worthless
4. I can’t forgive myself
5. God is punishing me.
I’M NOT GOOD ENOUGH is one of the biggest lies the devil gets us to believe about ourselves. Remember, we can do anything through Christ who gives us strength! Jesus is concerned with every part of our life and He wants to destroy the lies and replace it with truth. We do not have to worry about not being good enough – we just have to be obedient (Eph 2:10).
The children and staff had a lovely Christmas party. All the children received beautiful presents. We were so blessed that Ptr. Mark has a gift for shopping(if money is available, no problem)!!!! He was able to get all the presents for our children. Thank you Ptr. Mark and a big thank you to all the people who remembered us and have sent their greetings and gifts especially to the Strachan family.
Please pray for all our children for God’s protection.
Please pray for a solution to our children. Some of them have been hard to place out and be returned to their respective families.
Pray also that God will continue to provide our daily needs. It has been very tough last year but we have seen God’s faithfulness and He has been our true EBENEZER – our help in the challenges of life!
Please pray also for all the staff for their good health, patience and strength everyday. Pray for our influence into the lives of all the children in our care.
We put our trust in the Lord this 2010. We are so excited for this new year. There are many blessings and challenges ahead.
Many of the things we need can wait but the children cannot. Now is the time their bones are being formed, their blood is being made and their senses are being developed. To Him, we cannot answer “tomorrow”; their name is “today”..

Eating Together after the service
After the service, a notable step was made when the reorganization of youth, women and men’s ministries for 2010 took place. New sets of officers were elected. Plans were also brought up and discussed.

As we all set for 2010, it is our prayer that all of us will humbly serve the Lord the best that we can. How about you?

One Thing
ONE THING
One thing I desire
One thing I seek
To gaze upon Your beauty
Your Majesty
God of my salvation
Lifter of my head
Teach me how to live
O Lord Your righteousness
So I pray to You
So I pray to You
Lord Your Name
Is higher than the heavens
Lord Your Name
Is higher that all created things
Higher than hope
Higher than dreams
The Name of the Lord
In the day of trouble
You cover me
In the secret place of refuge
Lord, I will sing
I will seek Your face
Call upon your Name Jesus
All around the world, Christians have one thing in common. We all experience troubles in different forms. Moreover, we can learn from David the man after God’s own heart, he was a man that has been chased by troubles (either it was self-inflicted or not). We can read on through Psalms how he overcame those troublesome days. He knew that God is his refuge, the present help in time of needs. He sought God’s face above all because he knew that God was his hiding place.
Sometimes we go on through life’s circumstances without seeking God’s face. We can read in the bible that there were kings of Israel that went to fought against their enemies and sought not God’s face instead they sought the help of the kings of the heathen nation. The result was sad because they were eventually given out to captivity. I have experienced in my life when I have not sought God’s face and devised my own way out of the troubles I was in and the result was frustrating. I have learned that I was just depriving myself on the beauty and pleasure of beholding God’s beauty and majesty, and that while beholding His Majesty have already passed through the “tunnel” without so many struggles. It has been my desire that I could learn as David to hide in God’s beauty and holiness. Here is a Psalm that David wrote, praying that as we read this we will learn more of the art of yielding ourselves to God and behold His beauty and majesty.
PSALMS 27
1 ¶ A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
11 Teach me thy way, O LORD; and lead me on a level path because of my enemies.
13 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living!

Cornerstone Church Sinili Christmas Party
Last Dec 20,2009, we celebrated our Christmas party at the Sinili Community Church with the theme “Reaching out this Christmas to build a Christian Community”. The service was great and there were more than 200 children and adults who attended the service. Some of the barangay officials also came to the service and participated in the games. Rev. Lorenz Salazar, the Dean of Sefton Bible training Center, was the Guest Speaker. He encouraged the people to support the barangay officials to do things for the betterment of the community.
This year 2010, we expect greater things to happen from the Lord. We are praying for a greater harvest in Sinili, that every family will come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Please pray for us also, that God will always strengthen us and encourage us to do the ministry.
Praise the Lord!!!

Powerhouse@School Partnership
Our Team
Powerhouse @ School (P@S) Partnership is the extension of Powerhouse Kids Club. The ministry is focused on reaching out to the children for them to know God and have a deep relationship with Him. Although its title is Powerhouse @ School, its concept is not like the PHKC. It is more on giving lectures about Jesus Christ and teaching of dances and songs. Every Friday at 1pm, the P@S team goes to Rizal Elementary School to teach the children about Jesus Christ. This ministry aims to usher the children to Jesus Christ by showing God's love to them for them to also love God with all their heart, with all their soul and with all their strength, have a holy fear to the Lord and walk with Him.
Last November 27, 2009, the Bolton Team visited Rizal Elementary School. One of the members of the Team is Roberto from Italy. He is a funny guy and we really enjoyed his company. They taught us a new song, an Italian praise song… “Allelu, Allelu, Allelu Allelujah Gloria Al Senior”. The team really enjoyed the Powerhouse at School(P@S).
